Masonry

you can only be a victim if you admit defeat

About Me

Masonry is an instrumental experimental, progressive, mathy, stony, metal, chicken pickin' power trio. People with obscure or "out-there" record collections tend to like us. That's not to say you won't hear melodies out of us. We like a broad range of sounds and notes are notes, man.Formed in October 2004, Masonry originally consisted of Bob Buss(drums), Ed Osburg(bass) and Chris Valenti(guitar, bass). The trio began writing material at the Hide House, a practice space they shared with an ever-changing roster of crust and hardcore bands. A few months later they did their first show, a benefit for the Riverwest Co-op. Shortly thereafter the band had earned a reputation as solid players with a penchant for delivering unpredictable, yet melodic instrumental rock tunes. The Following months saw Masonry performing with established bands including Fame, Vacations, The Silence Project, Constants, Father Phoenix, Protestant, and E=MC Hammer to name a few. In late 2006 Bob called it quits due to family pressure and waning interest. By years end Matt Vrabel, was playing drums for the trio. You can find him behind the counter @ FUEL pimping coffee for you bitches.
