I am a breast cancer survivor of 10 years. I was diagnosed with Breast Cancer in Feb of 1998, I was 28 years old. I had a total rad. mastectomy of my left breast. I under went 5 month of chemotherapy. My son was six years old and he was my rock through it all. He always reassured me that I was going to be fine because he was praying for me and Jesus listens to everyone especially little children. He was right. I am doing fine and two years after my treatments I had my daughter. My son Hector is now 16 years old and my daughter Daniela is 7 years old. I have been married for 17 years to My wonderfull and careing husband Braulio "Leo" . My husband was by my side through it all holding strong for me and doing anything to make me feel better. My family was also great, the fact that I am the Youngest in my family was a bit hard for by brothers and sister. My mom stayed strong through it all, she was with us while I went through Chemo. I had my friends there for support, though at times it seemed the other way around. I still love them for trying. My family is my priority in life! We need to enjoy everyday since we do not know what tommorrow will bring. We need to trust and have faith in the Lord. Being a Breast Cancer Survivor has made me a Strong Woman.
