Paul Frazier is currently a member of David Byrne's band (from the Talking Heads), with whom he has worked for 7 years. He is also presently playing with a new original trio called Farm League Funk. You can see Paul singing and playing with Lucy Woodward, Justyn Matthew, Jason Blum and the Take Out Kings, The Mark Pender Band, Amel Larrieux, Lev's Boom Box, Amanda Homi, Shoshana Bean, The Spinnoza's, Kirsten Price, Emily Zuzik, Nadia Ackerman and Astroglide.
Over the years he has worked with many other artists and producers such as, Arrested Development, Forro in the Dark, Michael Tolcher, Pop Rocks, Ultra Blue (featuring Dave Stryker, Dave Mann, Rachel Z, Pete Belasco, and Kevin Mahogany), Imani Coppola, Shawn Colvin, Funky Poets (co-leader), Dave Darlington, Mic Murphy, Andre Betts, Ray Chew, Alan Freedman, Greg Smith, David Frank, Chaka Khan, Pat Ciscarano (as producer and musician), Jono Manson, Ron Sunshine, Peter Vitalone, Joss Stone, The Beu Sisters, Don Dilego, Mike Mangini, Pat Dillet, Tom Fontana and Barry Levinson, Tony Viscardo, Vic Juris, Digable Planets, Cab and Chris Calloway, Donny Osmond, David Cole (from C+ C Music Factory) and more.
Paul has also toured/played shows with Chic featuring Nile Rodgers, Sara McLachlan, Bonnie Raitt, Natalie Merchant, Imani Coppola (at Lilith Fair Performances), Michelle Lewis, Alyson Williams, The Weather Girls, K.J. Denhert, John Popper, Micheal Tolcher with Crosby, Stills and Nash, Carmine Appice, Gilberto Gil and is currently playing with Cafe Soul (featuring Peabo Bryson, Vesta Williams, George Benson, Roy Ayers, Bobby Lyle, Duke Jones, Norman Connors, Glenn Jones, Kenny Garret and more), and many others.
Television show credits include VH-1 70s Show (performing with The Spinners, The Miracles, Rose Royce, Cissy Houston and Donny Osmond), David Letterman (twice with David Byrne), Conan O'Brien, The Jules Holland Show (with David Byrne and Imani Coppola), The View (with Shawn Colvin), On The Record with Bob Costas, Austin City Limits (with David Byrne), The Arsenio Hall Show and Soultrain (with The Funky Poets), Vibe/Sinbad Show and Sessions at 54th (with Imani Coppola).
When with The Funky Poets (an Epic Records group that Paul co-founded in the 90's), their music was included in movie soundtracks such as The Money Train and Blankman. Paul also received gold and platinum honors for writing and producing music in the movie Free Willy. The Funky Poets also appeared on and scored vocals arrangements on the HBO series Oz, Della Ventura (CBS weekly drama) and Firehouse (a CBS Fontana- Levinson production featuring Richard Dean Anderson).
Paul has recently been building a new studio in Brooklyn along with starting a small indi-label. While working with partners Steve Williams and Ralph Farris on music for film and video games, Paul is also recording and producing new and upcoming artists and his own music which will be released soon.
