DNA Orchestra

The DNA Orchestra was formed some moons ago by Kate Smith and Greg Hall.It was born out of their shared love for Jazz, Blues and Classical Music and a desire to combine the timeless qualities of these genres with the power and clarity of modern beats from styles such as Hip Hop and Drum and Bass.To create this musical vision they decided on a system using samples mixed with real classical and non-classical instruments and with the arrival of scratch DJ and technical maestro Paul Main, to help fuse these styles, The DNA Orchestra was born.Add to this Kate's full repertoire of impressive and enchanting vocals and melodies and you have The DNA Orchestra sound.An unusual, original and captivating Leftfield mix of the: Old and New, simple yet diverse, alternative but accessible.Their sound is made all the more intriguing in their live performances as they are joined by a plethora of live instruments including string, wind and percussion sections.We are currently being produced by Scan from Pirate Industries, and all productions are mixed by Christian Hildebrand, PI's in-house engineer at Flashback Studios.The DNA Orchestra and Pirate Industries have been collaborating for about 3 years now, producing completed tracks for release and a back catalogue of demo material ready to go into final production for release.
