I'm going to get medieval on your ass

About Me

Middle Ages Brewing Company offers handcrafted ales brewed in the fashion of medieval, merry old England. The brewery is owned by a Syracuse couple, Marc and Mary Rubenstein. Marc, the head brewer, interned at two microbreweries, Kennebunkport Brewing in Kennebunkport, Maine, and Shipyard Brewing Company in Portland, Maine.
All of Middle Ages Brewing Company's beers are handcrafted: no computers to control brewing cycles; we physically weight out the malt, do not use any adjuncts such as rice or corn fillers; and we mix our beer by hand.
To maintain the tradition and tastes of English ales of the Middle Ages, the brewery uses two-row malted barley imported from Munton and Fisson Plc., in Stowmarket, Suffolk, England. The malt is germinated barley that has been kiln dried.
The yeast strain is a direct descendent of brewing yeast that originated in Yorkshire, England. It has been cultivated for the past 150 years and should bear a resemblance to the Medieval yeasts.
Middle Ages Brewing Company brews 20 different beers, encompassing just about every style you can imagine. Middle Ages has an amazing range of beers, from popular summer brews such as Swallow Wit and Raspberry Ale, to big beers such as the 10th Anniversary and Kilt Tilter. The IMPaled Ale remains an all time favorite among fans.
Pick up a sixer for your portable pleasure, or stop by the brewery, sample a few, take a tour, pet a kitty, and fill up a growler or four. Look for Middle Ages at your local retailer of ale, fine beer bars, and a couple of questionable joints.
