ABBAU WEST kick it since 2004 as a follow-up to hamburg-based CONCORD (since 1996). Although being influenced by Electro, Punk and New Wave it..s basically pop music what we do. As you can see in "Influences", we like powerful oldschool music as well as the latest hot shit in town. We don't really care to belong to music scenes at all, and we are in it for fun only. Playing some gigs for getting no money and missing to talk to groupies is fine as long as an audience likes it enough. Actually there's no official recording available from us. If you run a label and got to save some money from financial authorities, don't hesistate to contact us. If you think we should play at your club or your boyfriends birthday party, do the same. ABBAU WEST entstand aus den Truemmern der 2003 aufgeloesten Hamburger Band CONCORD . Drei Ex-Mitglieder schafften es ins Line-Up. Neu dabei ist Franko Wolenski. ABBAU WEST spielen Post Punk New Wave Pop. Basierend auf Schlagzeug, Bass, Gitarre, Gesang, Synthesizer und Sequenzer entsteht songorientierte Musik. Dabei sind Dissonanzen und Schraeglagen erwuenscht. Julia Lubcke singt englische Texte , die die Welt nicht veraendern werden, dafuer aber den Moment. Der Bandsound gemahnt gleichermassen an historische wie aktuelle Referenzen. Im Kern kommt die Band poppig, aber auch patzig daher. ABBAU WEST sind INDIE ohne Idylle und Schulterklopfen, PUNK ohne Saufkult und selbstgerechten Szene-Authismus, NEW WAVE ohne Rumgekokse auf Berlin-Mitte-Kneipenklos.
