WE WOULD LOVE to connect with some of our international members!
Sadly the host of the 2012 World Expo will not be Poland. We worked hard to advocate for them. We even spent two days with a film crew laying down our best monolouges just for the Expo bid commitee. In the end South Korea won the bid. Perhaps the world's not ready for, "Leisure" themed World Expo.

Heroes:
Leo Ladefian - Armenian Ambassador of Leisure
Specializing in leisure for 5 proud years, Leo has expanded his range of leisure activities within the past few years to be a more versatile Ambassador. Hiking, kayaking, camping, cycling, and dancing are just a few of the active activities Leo enjoys. Although his list of active leisure activities is long, Leo is also a specialist in enjoying more passive activities including: the cinema, cigar smoking, coffee talk, hookah smoking, and reading on occasion. The student life has served this young leisurist well, allowing him to be versatile in his leisure time. Leo is currently pursuing the task of spreading the leisure gospel to our international members.
Tim Franzen - Royal Commissioner of Leisure Science
Tim is true ILC success story. When Tim first started hanging out with core ILC members he had two jobs, working over 60 hours a week. Inspired by the ILC, Tim took a leap of faith, quit his job and started his own business. Although Tim's is very passionate about his work, he has also developed a passion for leisure. Tim's recent Leisure exploits have lead him to primitive barrier islands, kayaking salty tidal creeks, frequent trips to the bay area, ghost riding the whip, late night adventures in Europe, dancing all night in Atlanta, and planning music festivals in the southeast. Tim has the distinction of being a high school dropout and a college dropout. Tim has well over 425 clock hours spent smoking fine cigars and has recently taken to smoking them in his bathrobe and house shoes before showering. Tim is a budding artist, of course he is a photographer because this is the laziest form of art.
Barry Edwards - Professor of the Leisure Arts
A founding member of the ILC, Barry has helped shape the Club's leisure philosophy. Barry's favorite leisure activities include drinking coffee, watching baseball, dominating fantasy sports leagues, reading, cooking on a grill, painting, writing, music appreciation, thrift shopping, movies, naps and conversation.
Rafael Boada - The Godfather of Leisure
Simply put, Rafael is a Man of Leisure. A founding member of the ILC, Rafael enjoys traveling, cooking, exercise (he claims), watching sports, smoking cigars and the scent of a woman. His life of leisure has recently taken him to Italy. In addition to being called "The Godfather of Leisure", Rafael is known as "Fan Boy" for his love of countless team and great enthusiasm.
Jeff Wolk - The Dude of Leisure
Albeit our newest member to the International Leisure Club, leisure is nothing new to Jeff. Adopting the ILC philosophy was no difficult task for The Dude, as these are ideals that have guided his life for the last four years. Jeff adapts easily to his surroundings, a chameleon if you will, and can enjoy most relaxing activities. It's a difficult task to get this gentleman of leisure upset, and the phrase ' calmer than you are ' is often applicable. The Dude is currently looking to expand his couch surfing resume, and will travel to new places if a free couch is provided for sleeping.
James O'Conner - The Duke of Leisure Sounds
Branching out into new specialties of leisure studies, The Duke brings to the table extensive knowledge and background on the science of leisurely sounds. Having a passion for music since childhood, genres such as Jazz, blues, downtempo and soul, are high recommendations for setting the atmosphere for a leisurely experience, although a light Brazilian Samba might possibly be the most conducive to squeeze the most amount of leisure into any given period of time. For further recommendations of leisurely sounds, he might be reached at the ILC office line, but then again, his hours are rarely ever adhered to. That wouldn’t be very leisurely.
Kelly B – Leisure Royalty
A true leisure connoisseur, Kelly is all about finding creative ways to have fun. She can be found at all the best Atlanta dance parties, but also enjoys art openings, going to shows, and the occasional house party. If there isn’t a party going on, then she’s likely starting one. When not enjoying Atlanta nightlife she can be found reading (both literature and lifestyle mags), taking walks around the neighborhood (she hails from L5P), frequenting local coffee shops, working at a record label, constantly dining out with friends (it is rumored that her “leisure†extends so far that she is unaware of how to prepare any food that is not cereal), and chatting it up with any and everyone who can tolerate her slightly-less-than-leisurely manner of speaking. A champion of music, friends, and dancing, our newest member is sure to bring energy to the leisure movement.
