JOHN -THE PULVERIZER

About Me

Rock HARD, Rock OFTEN!
That's the Secret...and now it's out of the bag.
I'm all about utilizing my creative passions with drive and focus to follow my bliss through life. I feel grateful, privileged and blessed to be able to make a living being creative.
Drumming, Photography, Motorcycles, Writing and even Acting - Somehow they all tie together, and thankfully it's all workin' for me.......
Here's how it all fits together:#1....There's been a drum-set in my house since I was born. #2....I started my professional photography business over a decade ago and have had my work published in tons of magazines including several national and international covers. I just opened a new state of the art photography studio in central Phoenix, JC Studios LLC that's big enough to shoot automobiles and serve as a sound stage for video shoots.
I'm looking forward to all the opportunites and new relationships with creative people the studio will manifest. I'm also under contract with Piasano Publications for photography work in the studio and on the road at events for their 6 magazines titles including Easyriders, V-Twin, In the Wind, Tattoo Savage and others. Here's a cover of Rebel Rodz that I shot.
#3....I started my own motorcycle company in California in 1989, Surgical-Steeds. It all began in a dumpy industrial building that also served as a music rehearsal studio. I ultimately moved back to my roots in Arizona in '92 to make designing and building custom motorcycles my main creative focus and source of income. Steed Musclebike Motorcycle Co. . I "Sold" my motorcycle company in 2005 so I could have the time to explore my other creative interests and I'm sure Patriot Motorcycle Co. and their principal officers (now known collectively as the "Defendants") will eventually pay for it!?!...
#4...Acting? Yep, History was made on the big screen Feb 29th,2008 - my big screen acting debut in "Semi Pro" with Will Farrell. Twice, for at least a half a second you can see me in the stands with "Duke", I'm one of his "Stoner Buddies"....too funny! I'm also going to be in another movie with John C. Reilly coming out soon called Quebec, playing one of JCR’s biker buddies. I had an opportunity to be in both of these movies because I joined The Wild Bunch of Hollywood – Actor’s group last year. See if you can find my "Mug Shot" on their site.
I'm also producing a local TV show in Arizona, called The Music Show! . I'm wearing a few hats on this TV gig, being the announcer, writing, producing and editing the music show with my good friends Dave Henzerling - from Big Cock, the Hardest Band in the Land!, and Tom Trask from Studio T Inc. in Scottsdale. The Music show is a low budget no excuses late night talk show....Imagine Letterman, Wayne’s World, Talk Soup, and the Man Show tossed into a garbage disposal....that's what you get... Right now I'm out having the best time of my life exploring my top creative passion: Playing these old Leedy Drums (that I collect and restore) with my buds in Big Cock - the Hardest Band in the Land!
We just released our 3rd CD titled "Motherload" - You can pick up the CD at Best Buy, or FYE store in your neighborhood or on line at CDbaby.com or the band site. Here's a NEW video for Built For Speed from MotherLoad (which was produced at my new studio as well).
I also played at Rocklahoma last summer with the& The Greg Leon INVASIONand I'm looking forward to playing more shows with my favorite "Guitar-Hero" Mr. Greg Leon whenever he's ready to break the Les Paul out of it's case.
This past year I've also done a giant drum sample library with the old Leedy tubs which will be released in early '08 in many studio formats. SPEAKING OF GUITAR HERO....I also tracked drums on Guitar Hero III with the guitar genius Steve Ouimette that was released on October 28th just in time to be under everyone's Christmas tree. Here's how the game looks and sounds with the Pulverizer on drums.

I also shot the photography for the Guitar Player Magazine feature all about Steve Ouimette and Guitar Hero III that should hit the stands soon.
LIFE IS GOOD!- Thanks for supporting independent music! It's a whole new music indusrty, AND WE'RE KICKIN' IT'S ASS My focus now is to to attract any and all kinds of opportunities to create music -in the studio or in front of screaming fans. If you need my drumming skills - HERE I AM!
I have a new drummer web-site DrumPulverizer.com .. There's a ton of stuff up there, lots of free music samples and pic's of my many hairstyles over the many years of Pulverizing - along with a "NEWS" section that I'll do my best to update with the latest. While you're there, check out the Pulver-Schwag link and pick up a "Rock Hard, Rock OFTEN!" Shirt.

My Mom - She just turned 88 in April - She ROCKS!
I have the best wife in the whole world, Deborah. She's the most beautiful woman in the world. She supports me in everything I want to do, and I do my best to support everything she's into, no matter how whacky. Halloween 2008 will be the 20th Anniversary of our wedding, and this cute photo.
We've been together since 1986. She's my partner, guide, muse, voice of reason, and has supported me in everything I've ever wanted to do, including following my music career or building our businesses. I love her.
I have two step kids who were both in grade school when Deb and I married. Both of them are now older than most of the people buying our CDs. I have the coolest step-daughter, Nicole, who I had the pleasure of raising (warping) since she was an impressionable 7 year old. She's the next dearest love of my life! She got married last year to Oliver, and they just had a baby in January, Nigel.....That makes me - the Pulverizer - a grandpa...OMG!My stepson Brian just moved from LA to be closer to us in Arizona and works for UPS, and his future looks brighter than ever - he's workin' it day by day and I'm sure he's going to get 'er done!
