Max Picante is quite possibly one of the world's most unknown drummers today; not appearing on literally thousands of records. Max grew up the poor child of two wealthy immigrant parents in the suburbs of New York where he taught himself to play drums by watching Animal on The Muppet Show. After getting left back in the fourth grade, and a small bout with narcotics, Max decided to make music his life. Although this epiphany came to him at a young age, Max didn't really get around to joining a band until he was 30 years old. That band would later turn out to be, none other than the now infamous "O EL AMOR"... (www.oelamor.com) But as fate would have it, a poor attitude, lack of practice and a slight case of alcoholism would soon take its' toll on Max, forcing him to quit the band just two days after being fired. While the band continues to enjoy relative success, Max continues his lone musical quest, searching from bar to bar for other masked musicians, but usually settles for a drink and a pack of Kool menthols. Max's solo album "Beat The Meatles" is slated to hit the internet later this year.
