About Me
In Miami, Florida, where the redundant theme of Bling floods the airwaves with meaningless rhymes, Brimstone127 fights back with positivity. The Miami Herald SAYS Brimstone127 is "Positive, Socially Conscious and sweet on the ear."
As a producer, Brimstone has earned credits with MATISYAHU, KRS-ONE, BLACK SHEEP, JUNGLE BROTHERS, NIKE and TOYOTA YARIS.
As an engineer, Brim has been behind the board on tracks and concerts for THE CURE, NELLY FURTADO, FAT JOE, DJ PREMIERE, 9TH WONDER, PITBULL, THE SPAM ALLSTARS, JORGE MORENO, MR. LONG (Black Sheep), SONY, ARISTA and more.
But its when Brim locks himself up in his studio to create his own tracks that his genre-defying conceptual HIP-HOP albums are born. His debut album METAMORPHOSES set college charts on fire and was named one of the top 10 independent releases by Street Magazine in 2003. The Miami New Times also gave it The Editors Choice Award in 2004. Later that year, Brimstone127 went on to be the only Hip Hop act featured at the 2004 FLORIDA GRAMMY SHOWCASE.
Brimstone127 emerged from the world of B-Boys, Graffiti Artists, Dejays and Emcees. To see him perform live is to witness a collage of energy. With song, dance, art, humor, props, improvisation and plenty of crowd participation, no 2 shows are ever alike. Owner Scott Dietz of the world famous Club Revolution in Ft. Lauderdale said "Brimstone127 is the best show that I have ever seen in my club!"
AS A PERFORMER Brimstone127 has supported acts such as The Wailers, Rakim, Ozomatli, The Roots, Afrika Baambaata & The Soul Sonic Force, KRS-ONE, Method Man, Black Sheep, Jungle Brothers, Locos Por Juanes, Lost Boys and more.
In the meantime, Brimstone127's real-world alter-ego Seth Schere motivates todays youth by speaking at high schools, colleges, prisons and inner city programs. Through Hip-Hop culture, Schere teaches about independence, self esteem and community building. He formed the BRIDGING THE GAP FOUNDATION for this type of work.
Voted Best 2006 & 2007 Hip-Hop Act by CITY LINK MAGAZINE, Brimstone127's upcoming album ELEVATOR MUSIC was just completed for release in early 2007. Classic Heavy Weight Hip Hop producer DUG INFINITE (Common, Sadat X, Masta Ace, NO ID) contributes 2 tracks
to the album. Also featured is Mr. Long (Black Sheep), KRS ONE, and the original Chief Rocker Busy Bee.
