Formed in Santa Rosa, California, in 1984, Victims Family made an indelible mark in the Punk and Indy scenes with their mad tempo changes and flirtations with Hardcore Punk, Jazz, Funk and Noise textures and satirical and poignant lyrics. In an era when Punk devolved into metal they went in a direction uniquely their own.
"The music was different. Heck, I thought it was some pretty cool stuff. It was still punk rock but it had all that musician stuff happening. It was way the hell outside but it had a bigass groove that tromped across you and made you excited. It was rockin'. Sqeeks and squaks, burly runs, The guitar wailed. The bass wore boots and jogged on your shoulders. The drummer was unbelievable and he didn't even use cymbals, just hi-hats. These guys were on fire! The band was smiling." -Fozzy
