Writing, reading, my fiance, travel, my girl gang The G-No's, Weekly World News, my tailless and toothless cat, Pop Culture Trivial Pursuit, Paris, procrastinating, wishing that I was fluent in something other than Pig Latin, hanging out with my fabulous friends, ice machines, one-star motels, four-star hotels, animatronics, the seven wonders of the ancient world, pointy-toed shoes, red lipstick, vintage clothing and tschochkes, trashy celeb gossip, aluminum Christmas trees, livejournal, breaking chain emails. In general, I am about as deep as a puddle in a drought.

Well, it USED to be 1510 AM (R.I.P.), which USED to be the best radio station ever. So now it's back to listening to cd's and records (and tapes in my car)... and it's all the usual stuff like The Beatles, The Zombies, The Hollies, The Sonics, The Beach Boys, The Beastie Boys, Surfaris, Paul Revere and the Raiders, Dave Clark Five, We The People, Beau Brummels, The Barbary Coasters, The Ugly Beats, The Saturn V, Deke Dickerson's All Star... Band, Fortune & Maltese, The Tantrums, The Checkers, Elvises Presley and Costello, Aztec Camera, the Dukes of Stratosphear, XTC, The Dickies, X, The Jam, The GoGo's, The Pandora's, The Three O'Clock, The Shangri-La's, the Ronettes, The Chiffons, Petula Clark, Little Peggy March, THE BEAT-ELLES, Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, Percy Faith, Cole Porter lyrics, Martin Denny, Yma Sumac, Ella Fitzgerald, Etta James, 60's soul, garage, ska, power pop, soundtracks... I dunno, bands my friends are in and what my friends dj... I hate these questionnaires -- I can never think of everything I like, and the same thing happens when I go to Amoeba. I especially like 60's cheesy cocktail music -- the kind that I can listen to while cleaning my apartment and wearing a tiara. And the soundtrack to Xanadu is always a [guilty] pleasure. My new year's resolution is to learn THE MADISON and The Slop.
'Tis the season for Valley of the Dolls. Wait, what am I saying? EVERY season is the season for Valley of the Dolls.
