Soul music, vintage clothes, scooters, bicycles, flamenco, traveling, eating, socializing, arguing politics, guinness, wine, coffee, wearing coats, fitness, reading. Dislike 80s music, getting up early, eating meat, watching television, wearing trousers and republicans.
Soul, r&b, ska, rocksteady, reggae, some pop and folk. Favorite classics include Herbie Goins, Tammi Terrell, Fats Domino, Irma Thomas, Paragons, Jimmy Cliff, Ethiopians, Beach Boys, Everly Bros, Zombies, Blues Busters, James Ray (currently driving roommate crazy with repeated listens of the latter). Just got a few flamenco records for dance practice which I am enjoying but still a little confused.
Just about anything with Ricardo Montalban, Sydney Poitier or Bruce Lee -- the usual 60's stuff with Michael Caine et co. Trying to get every film and tv movie based on LeCarre books, so far only Russia House and The Little Drummer Girl were duds.
Am getting to the point where even hearing a television on in the apartment next door is irritating.
Sociology/political stuff like Chomsky, Fast Food Nation; Anything by John LeCarre; Mysteries like Agatha Christie, Nancy Drew; Vonnegut is great as well. For other reading like Ms., Consumer Reports, Mojo, Salon, BBC News online.
