About Me

Come join us for the 9TH ANNUAL "SWERVE N CURVE" SCOOTER RALLY, August 22-24, 2008. Always a good time. Co-hosted by the Westside Scooter Club. All are welcome!!
While most of the South Bay SC are old school mods and scooterists from the 1980's, the current incarnation of the South Bay Scooter Club was formed in the year 2000, just in time to carry on the old ways into the new millennium. The South Bay of Los Angeles has a long tradition of scooter-riding, what with the close proximity of the great South Bay beaches, cities and Palos Verdes Peninsula, offering some of the best scenic routes in all of Southern California. Also, being based out of central South Bay, in Torrance, we are perfectly positioned for access to long rides either down south to the OC, or north to L.A., as well as the Malibu/Santa Monica mountain canyons. We have the longest running regular ride in all of SoCal and our rides are open to everyone on any type of scooter--- come on out and ride!!!Our club has no dues, officers, duties, etc. (no b.s.), and we are known throughout the scooter community as multi-faceted folks who just like to ride, ride, ride. We have great specialty rides and events such as our annual Swerve n Curve Rally, the famous, annual, SoCal Slow Ride, Angels Game Ride and our annual Naughty Butt Nice Christmas Ride & Party. So come out and do what we do: just ride, baby!

My Interests

Scooters, Vintage Vespas and Lambrettas, scooter engine mods

I'd like to meet:

We’d like to meet everyone and anyone that is psyched to ride a scooter, is easy to get along with, and likes taking long walks on the beach (ok, this last one isn’t required, ha, ha). We are a pretty laid back group, into our machines along with lots of riding, so if you are, too, you’ll fit right in. The South Bay Scooter Club meets the first Saturday of every month @ Claim Jumper’s restaurant in Torrance, on the corner of Crenshaw and Lomita Blvd.’s, at 12:30pm. Ride leaves at 1pm. For more information, please check out our website at www.southbayscooterclub.com . We also have monthly Thursday Night Rides, usually around the middle of the month, that meets at the Red Car Brewery in downtown Torrance at 6:30pm. The Red Car Brewery is located at 123451 Sartori Ave., at the corner of Sartori Ave. and Torrance Blvd. Check out the Upcoming Events page on the website for that month’s Thursday Night Ride date.
