people, creatures, the planet, the universe, film, theatre, performance, art, images, symbols, semiotics, Harley Davidson motorcycles, cultural diversities, the uses of the senses, the quest for peace.
I'd like to meet you.
I like people. I reside in New York City, the most culturally diverse place in the world. This is not America. New Yorkers are World Citizens, citizens of the world, like Venicians have always been. We're all here, dressing all the ways we dress, speaking our hundreds of languages at the same time, eating everybody's food. I'm pretty sure two million of us are often trying to cross the same street at the same time at the corner of my own block (Geez! THAT is exciting...). We shop and eat in Chinatown, Middle-Eastern and Indian markets, Kosher spots, Brooklyn, Harlem, Queens, Little Italy, all over. The spices in my kitchen would make Marco Polo want to tag along on my travels to find out where I go.
My idea of hell is being made always to work alone in a room away from people. My idea of fun is to be outdoors motorcycling or meeting hundreds and hundreds of people in a day. I've had jobs where I might meet a thousand people in a day - and speak to most of them. I'll see you soon, I hope. We'll talk, ok?
You can see me in the short film "DINER" at http://films.thelot.com/films/24489
Music has meaning in my life. I listen and dance. I like actual real music made by real artists and indigenous musicians. I do not approve of the colossal exploitation in music, the use of "popular" music to demean ethnicity, women, and our culture, the use of music as a narcotic, the use of music in order to avoid other human beings, or using music to close out the world around us.
I work in film. What happens when people make a movie is mythical. Myth was the earliest science. Film persons are archetypes of original story tellers from a long time ago. Back then people sat in darkness around their fires and watched mysterious fabulous story tellers. Today we still sit in darkness and watch mysterious fabulous story tellers. And often we still make fire for you, on the screen.

I like words; I like to read; I like a book in my hands. I have a library. Homes devoid of books seem empty and lonely - I can tell no myths live there - it is just an empty space with things and people placed out of context here and there. I'm involved with my handheld computer - there are over a hundred books in it, two dictionary's, a thesaurus, and scripts I work on. Talk to me about an interesting word.
My heroes are those who struggle to survive; Some religious figures; Some actors and artists; Humanitarians; Perhaps a statesman - if he or she really was a statesman; Those not addicted to the worship of cellular telephonism; Peacemakers - may they inherit the earth...
