shanel - female producer,artist & designer

Hi, my name is Shanel (and yes, this is my real name) and in the past year I have received songwriting and production mentions from Billboard, Song of the Year, Great American Songwriting Competition, 2006 Singer / Songwriter Awards, Future Music Magagzine, plus others. Currently I am working on production and songwriting for various artists both signed and unsigned, as well as my own EP and have recently become endorsed by Adidas.I believe it is important to write out our accomplishments, for so often in life we find ourselves looking at what we haven't achieved, instead of what we have. I also believe the greatest achievements above all else are our personal triumphs which every person has.I love being extremely silly and I simply cannot take myself seriously, else I believe I would combust.I also love all things art and music with creativity and beauty in form / aesthetics being my love in life.In music, I song write, perform, compose and produce and in art I paint, illustrate and also design; both graphic and web design. I also love computers and use everything from editing software (premiere, director) to music (cubase, pro-tools) to graphic (quark, photoshop) to web (golive, dreamweaver) plus tons in between. Everything on this page has been produced my me, from the music I have written and produced and performed (in some) to the art I have painted and illustrated, plus all the graphics and photos.When I'm not doing any of the above, I love to read non-fiction and have studied everything from cosmology, philosophy, psychology, theology, in fact lots of 'ologies' and in general I have a never ending thirst for knowledge and am constantly reading. I strongly believe in the attraction of thought and this demonstrated in particle physics (read The Field by Lynne Taggart) and the power of our thoughts (read anything from Esther & Jerry Hicks). I'm also very interested in science (esp theoretical physics), cosmology, quantum mechanics and how they relate in the theory of alternative universes and ultimate reality (read Parallel Worlds by Michio Kaku).In the past few years I decided to concentrate solely on music because I figured that you need to focus on one path oppose to many difference mediums and this is the path that I continue to pursue and enjoy.I do however on occassions and when I have time, continue to film SWtelevision as I have so much fun with this.
