Mr. Bryn

I'm not planning the grad reunion. Stop asking.

About Me

NO RANDOM FRIEND REQUESTS, PLEASE. If you're interested in me, MESSAGE me and if we hit it off I'll add you. I'm not interested in building up my friend list for the sheer purpose of having a large list. Anyone who tries to add me without talking to me first will be denied, unless I actually know them.*Whew* ... anyway...The internet confuses and frightens me. Most things do.I've had a Myspace listing for a couple of years, and had let it slide into the growing void of things that I've completely forgotten about, since most of the people I was interested in talking to... already have my phone number or email address. So this seemed a little redundant. Lately a lot of people have been saying old faces are popping up here, however, so I've been adding a bit of flesh to the profile in some vain attempt to make it look like I have some slight abilities with a computer. I do hope that you're all thoroughly impressed. If you're not, humour me if you contact me. I'm fragile. I need positive re-enforcement. I recently finished up the full-time program at the Vancouver School of Bodywork and Massage, so instead of being a regular bum, I have now moved on to being an occasionally-employed spa bum. I'm sure I'll retire to that beachside mansion any day, now. This profile was edited with Thomas' myspace editor™ V2.5

My Interests

Film, dance, massage and bodywork, sushi sushi sushi, local music, cardboard boxes I can wear on my head.

I'd like to meet:

My evil twin....wait... what if *I'M* the evil twin? Gads... hadn't considered that...

Music:

James Brown, Sarah Slean, Little Richard, Queen, Damhnait Doyle, Kaki King, Danny Michel, Moby, John Lee Hooker, George Thoroughgood and the Destroyers, CCR, Jorane, Don McLean, Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers, Arrogant Worms, Leonard Cohen, Ron Sexmith, BNL, Ella Fitzgerald, Franz Ferdinand, Billie Holliday, Bjork, Brian May

Movies:

Current favorite is 'Mulholland Drive'... has been for a couple of years, actually.

Television:

...has *M*A*S*H* been cancelled? I'm a little out of touch...

Books:

On a bit of an Asimov kick at the moment (at the recomendation of Lance and Lynne)... not my typical taste, but the 'Foundation' books have been interesting. Before that, 'Siddhartha'... might go back to Hesse when I finish with Asimov. Or maybe I'll attempt to eat my own head. Might do that, too....check all that - I've got some time to read, so I'm working on James Clavell's 'Shogun'....check that last bit - I'm in school. So I won't be done 'Shogun' for a while. ...oh wait - I am done. Never mind.

Heroes:

I'll tell you who's *not* my hero:Art Garfunkle.I mean, he seems like a pretty cool guy and all, but just not a personal icon for me, you know?

My Blog

Sad news

Thom Brooke, a childhood friend of mine, passed away on Valentine's Day. Most of us that knew Thom remember him as a mouthy pain-in-the-butt punk. But we also remember him as a loyal friend with a gre...

Time is an issue

Still in a state of upheaval. Searching for a new home and a new job, dealing with past issues and trying to prevent a few that are looming. Quietly optimistic, with the emphasis on quiet - I know I ...

Empty

So my move has been delayed, for another two to four weeks. If I find someone to move into Kim's room that I like, I could stay there much longer.  It's not that I'm really attached to...

Edumacation

Egad - school starts tomorrow! This will be my first real stab at that whole "education" thing since 2001, or so. Nervous? Not really. Excited? A little? Bankrupt? Yeah, pretty much. Higher education...

I cannot leave the subject line blank, I'm told

Gah. Knee is hurting, tonight. I can't remember the last time I've actually been injured... man, it's dull. I don't understand why other people do it. It's so boring!  I can't really do any...

A little project

This is something that is really of great interest to me... yes, I know I'm a geek... but if you get a chance, read the article or, better yet, order a kit for yourself. I really think it's something ...
