Caroline Chojnacki (hoy-nat-ski), express's her sound through her soul and heart. She started her journey with vancoUVer records and now is looking to explore more options and new producers to expand her knowledge around the music industry and find a perfect fit. Her voice and sound are best described as angelic, raw, Powerful, jazzy, and haunting. She mainly writes about love and personal experiences that inspire her soul. If u haven't noticed already she lives in her heart. Caroline Chojnacki (hoy-nat-ski) Origin from Poland, born in Toronto, Ontario. She was born creative. The first genre she got her little hands on is visual art, Painting, Murals, 2d drawings, her parents also encouraged her artistic being by putting her in piano lessons and acting classes with Kids in film. Then she Moved to BC when she was 10. She joined a polish kids choir, and sang her first solo "Silent Night" at St.Mary’s Perish Christmas Celebration. During her highschool years she discovered she enjoyed singing/ song writing, visual art, and acting. She started her first guitar class in grade eleven, she fell in love with classical finger style; which is what made her so good on finger style with her own music. During that time her mother Rene Ortel supported her choice to pursue her arts by helping to buy her first acoustic guitar.Caroline started writing her own nick-nack tunes right away. Caroline's been composing her music with her guitar for over the last 9 years and performing her music for over the last 10 years in Vancouver, British Columbia, and Toronto, Ontario. She's inspired by local artists such as Melissa Rebronja, Jessica Maros, Alayna Morris, The Give Band, Derek Brans, Chris Styles, Brent Mackenzie, etc. In 2004 Caroline hosted an open mike at Behind the Scenes. Caroline gained a fan base, by inspiring other artists to follow there dreams. On January 4, 2006 Caroline was asked to do an interview on the M Channel by: Piotrowska, Karolina. They featured her first demo EP, and she performed her song called Ladi da da da.
During the open mike Steve Thompson from vancoUVer records approached Caroline to sing back up on Magnus's the song titled Naiome's tale. In February 2006, she signed up with vancoUVer records and recorded "REDLIGHT", "IAM", "FAULTY", "GOODNIGHT",She was working with local Independent Artists like Cat Roberts, Magnus, SenseofSelf, Aeja Goldsmith, and more. In November 2006, Caroline traveled to New York and Toronto, She played her first show with Singer/Songwriter Melissa Rebronja at The Gladstone Hotel in Toronto Canada. Caroline also took on more responsibility with vancoUVer records on the public relation side of music and then in December, 2006, Caroline wanted to explore other options in the music industry so she left vancoUVer records. Currently unsigned, and searching for new representation. In January, 2007, Caroline made CD-R’s to hand out while she played live shows at Rossinis in Gastown and volunteered to perform an acoustic set, at a WildeFire Film Premiere for "the Light Within". She met Drummer Tony Lum who plays an occasional show with Caroline. In February/April 2007 Caroline went to Melbourne. She jammed at the Camberwell Street Market and was proud to have made 20.00 in less then hour. In the Summer of 2007, Lori Watt contacted Caroline to play at a fund-raiser in North Vancouver for a play called "Four Dogs and a Bone". Caroline received a call from musician Alex MacCaull from Vancouver to open for his band at the Purple Crab in Vancouver, BC, he heard of her through word of mouth from a local fan. She contacted Canadian Brent Mackenzie from Soul Scar, to record and mix a 3 song demo. In October, 2007, Caroline entered Memorable Music’s Karoke Idol Competition with judges Carrie O' Donovon , Robyn Leigh Katz,etc. Where she played her current tune "Rest of Me" and Won 3'rd place amongst a huge range of talent. Caroline also volunteers her time at PAVI Institute, where she has recorded a live tracks. The rough mix helps her write and change her tune if need be. She's now developing more knowledge about the music industry. Looking into grants, a promotional package to seek a record deal, creating fan base by playing live shows and using Myspace.com as a way to get her fans hooked. and to sell a professionally, mastered, full album at her show.
