Having worked professionally for many years on an extensive diverse range of projects, he has demonstrated his skill in many genres and produced for many types of media. With soundtracks for television and film, live performance, commercial audio, theatre, radio, dance performance, internet and interactive media titles, as well as various recording session performances, Dewi continues to demonstrate quality craftsmanship and depth in his music and audio production.
A native of Calgary, Dewi Wood was exposed to invaluable musical training when, at age nine, he was accepted to the Calgary Cathedral Church Of The Redeemer Choir as a chorister under the direction of Terence Fullerton. During his early teens, he was exposed to jazz music and subsequently began studying the guitar. While in high school, Dewi was awarded the guitar position in Canada’s National All-Star Stage Band at the National Stage Band Competition in Toronto. Here he was in the company of great Canadian rising stars Diana Krall and Jeff Healey. Subsequently, while still in high school, Dewi was selected for the guitar position in the University of Calgary’s Red Band Jazz Ensemble.
Dewi’s professional career is currently focused on his position as Audio Director for Critical Mass Inc. a world leader in web site and e-commerce strategy development. An original partner to the company, established in 1995, Dewi has provided comprehensive audio services and music scores for their extensive roster of clients, which include:

In addition to his current full-time commitments, Dewi also feels blessed and inspired to be able to share the stage, as both a guitar player and singer, with many of Canada’s finest musicians and fine arts organizations.
