Birth-name: Tien Yu Chang a.k.a. Dave Tien Yu Chang.
Born in: 1984 September 9th.
Back Story of Daddy Chang:
FROM THE BEGINNING TO THE BIRTH OF DADDY.
PART 1.
Tien-Yu Chang / Tien-Yun Chang aka (Daddy Chang)'s story did not start on the day of his birth. Half of his birth-name was already given by his grandfather before Daddy Chang's parents even started having sexual intercourse. So the story has to start from the beginning of his spirit. Daddy Chang's grandfather; Xi-Xuin Chang set his family legacy pattern in the order of: Chia, Tien, Chuang, Loo. Meaning: (The House, The Temple, The Pass-down, and The Reform). Simular to the Chinese Three Age Symbols of: The Phoenix, The Dragon, and The Tiger. Meaning: The Beginning/Reborn, The Era of Glory, and The Era of Revolution aka: The Dying Age. Tien, (Pronounced Dian in Chinese), meaning the Temple, is suppose to be the strong era. The stage-upgrade of The House to The Temple also known as the Era of The Glory. It was as written in the Family Pattern Order as it was believed that The Pattern's Name and it's spirit was born at the same time as it was written in the Heaven of Chang Ancestors and waiting to choose it's next generation family branch door-Way into this world. Therefore, it is believed that Daddy Chang's Spirit was born around the same time that his grandfather Xi-Xuin Chang was a soldier and was still young, therefore, the story has to start there. After the Chinese and the Americans defeated Japan in World War Two, China had a Civil War right after and was split apart again. The Civil War was fought Between General Chiang Kai-Shek of the KTM Democracy Party, and Chairman Mao Zedong of The Communist Party. It didn't go on for too long before the war ending with a defeat for the Democracy Party led by General Chiang Kai-Shek causing the KTM to retreat to Taiwan. And Daddy Chang's Grandfather Xi-Xuin Chang was a soldier of General Chiang Kai-Shek. Xi-Xuin Chang at that time already had 2 kids back in the Mainland, so he took the Family Pattern/(Daddy Chang's Spirit) with him on the journey to Taiwan with Chiang Kai-Shek's Massive Military Force and settled there. They were getting ready to recruit and retaliate back against Mao, but that never end up happening afterwards. Chiang Kai-Shek later on was declaired the President of ROC-"Republic of China" which is today's (Taiwan), and promised his Soldiers either Land, or Money of the two Choices. Most Soldiers took their share of the Land and settled down and had families and shit, but Xi-Xuin Chang decided to take the Money and start his own Empire. Xi-Xuin Chang first started buying beautifull village girls to work for him as prostitutes. He then hired most of the local cops who were broke as fuck and did several schemes with them. Then he hired the other ex-soldiers who were under his command as his money collectors. His boys would go after anyone who doesn't pay his girls up after the services or anyone who disrespects them. Then he would have his boys offer protection services to richer folks and up the interests on any big cats in the neighborhood that he feels is a threat. He then uses that as an excuse to take them out or give them an offer to leave the neighborhood and never come back. As his circle and his money pocket grows, he later on opened up a private under-ground Casino that attracted most of the big cats, cops, married women, and young cats into his circle. But as his empire grows, he's forgotten one of the most important rules of his own book, never trust a crooked cop, especially when their boys are constintly losing money to our joint every night before coming home having their women nagging on their shit. As Xi-Xuin Chang grew fatter in da hood, the ammount of his enemies started to grow at the same time. Since his temper wasn't always the best of him, his inner circle has grabbed onto that weakness as something dat feeds the rats within the house. One of the reasons that it became so easy for him to rise in the first place was that Chiang's government had less support from the civilians compare to the local moutain militia groups. And Xi-Xuin Chang had the chips to play both colors and beat the odds. As the Corruption was happening to the Government, at the same time it was back firing on Xi-Xuin Chang's empire. Enemies after enemies trying to get to him. Untill one day, he went for a walk at night, drunk as shit, 5 body guards of his including one rat who ran a plan with the cops to set him up. They gave a fake alarm causing them to seperate, and 4 of Xi's body guards were ambushed leaving Xi-Xuin running towards the other direction by himself. One cop chased him all the way to a dead end of an alley, then the alley neighbors heard sounds of shit getting knocked down, couple of gun shots, flower pots broken sounds, dog barking, and foot steps running. Next thing you know, the whole neighborhood was rounded up in a circle staring at a dead cop. Cops were looking everywhere for him the next day. Some say that he tried to defend himself and shot the cop while struggling to survive, some say that he shot the cop with his own gun, some even say that they were already at war and he wanted to shoot that motherfuker anyways. And Some say that it was Uncle Zhou-Shu (His good friend) saved his life and shot the cop and they booked off. The next day Xi-Xuin along with Zhou and couple more of his guys disapeared from the hood of Hua Lian. So what the happened to the Family Pattern? Here the thing, after Xi-Xuin Chang took off, one of his maddams, today's (Nai Nai Chang number 2) took over the Casino Business and has hidden that Family Pattern for later use of bargaining chip against Xi-Xuin to get what she wants when he returns one day. Xi-Xuin Chang later on hid himself in da hood of Ping Dong, where she met Daddy Chang's GrandMa: NaiNai Chang No.1 Nai Nai Chang No.1 was working as a KTV girl. Meaning like a Gheisha. They got into a relation-ship and later on had 2 kids. A boy and a girl. The boy was to be The Symbol of Chia; "House", on the Family Pattern, which he didn't have on him at that time but still written it formally to him under The Chang Ancestors Heaven Honor. The boy's birth name was: "Chia-Chen Chang", meaning the "House of Success". Xi-Xuin Chang took his son Chia-Chen Chang along with him a lot when he had to leave town after towns, hoods after hoods, always running from something. Xi-Xuin Chang later on decided that he can't afford to lose his son over the things he's done so he asked his sister to take care of him. Xi's sister (Gwoo Nai Nai Chang) was his only sibling that came to Taiwan with him. She had left Xi years ago to persue an honest life da day he started doing dirty business. When Xi-Xuin brought his son to her, she had already had her own family with (Gwoo Yei Yei Jia), The Grand PaPa Jia Gwoo Dei. Gwoo Nai Nai Chang took in da boy after Xi-Xuin left. Chia-Chen Chang finally had a home, the town hood of Jya Yi. They were poor, it was the Ghetto area of Taiwan. Even though Gwoo Nai Nai Chang took in Chia-Chen Chang, most of her children didn't accept him as family, because Xi-Xuin Chang once almost beat Gwoo Nai Nai's nephew Lil Tiger to death for smoking his crack. Lil Tiger was a kid at that time, and Xi-Xuin hated kids getting their hands on drugs, and he wanted to discipline him, but he almost killed the fucking kid. So since Chia-Chen Chang wasn't welcomed by da kids in the Jia family, he'd get picked on a lot. He once had Lil Tiger throw all his shit out the door of the Jia Family. Then he would get into a lot of fights with da cousins, Gwoo Nai Nai Chang would always punish both of them equally. One day, the neighbor kids picked on the Jia Family's cousins, Chia-Chen Chang jumped in right away to help his cousins out. After that fight, Chia-Chen Chang's friend asked him why he helped them after all the shit they did to him before, he then told his friend that blood is thicker than water, and the fist is to always point outside instead of inside. And the cousins started to respect him as well and always got his back whenever he needed help afterwards. Chia-Chen then grew up sticking to most of his moral principles that Gwoo Nai Nai Chang has taught him. He started searching honest jobs when he was young. He then realized that he needed to persue something in his life. The Jia Family didn't have a lot of money for him to go to college. So he decided to go to military school. Gwoo Nai Nai did not want him to do that because she's afraid maybe some how he would become like his father since his father was once a soldier. But Chia-Chen Chang knew that he was not like his father. So him and Gwoo Nai Nai had a huge argument and he ended up leaving the Jia Family. He then went to Ping Dong to visit his mother (Nai Nai Chang No.1) and his sister (Aunti Chang). Nai Nai Chang at the time was selling flowers and gums on da street. As for his sister, she moved out with her boyfriend, a Ping Dong Local drug dealer and was doing a lot of drugs herself. And she had a kid named (Lil Dragon) who she has taught to steal and deliver stuff in da hood fo da local uncles. Chia-Chen Chang was very displeased. Nai Nai Chang No.1 had a divorce with Xi-Xuin Chang and got married to Zyia Su-su and had a new family and kids of her own. She told Chia-Chen Chang that at least one of them two turned out to be like their father. Chia-Chen Chang remember last time he saw his sister, she was an innocent lil girl who always jump on any kids in the Ping-Dong hood who ever gave Chia-Chen Chang a hard time and she would scratch the shit out of them. But now that he sees what she's turned into, it really hurt him. Chia-Chen Chang asked his mother if she knew where his father was at, and source after source he found his way back to the hood of Hua Lian. Xi-Xuin Chang was back to his hood. So what happened with him? Well, remember how the maddam gotten a hold of that Family Pattern as da bargain chip against Xi-Xuin Chang to get what she wants? After she took over most of the business, shit felt apart from a Roman Empire to a stone age in a split second. And while Chia-Chen Chang was raised in the Jia Family, that old incident became cold news and Xi-Xuin went back to da hood of Hua Lian to get his Family Pattern back from the maddam. The hood wasn't the same no more, it wasn't his world anymore. But he still couldn't stay low key after so many years and gotten arrested and put in jail several times. After Xi-Xuin got out, he went to the maddam to get the Family Pattern. She had hidden it so well, then used it as a bargain chip to have kids with Xi-Xuin. So they had a kid. Then she was not satisfied and had another kid with him. The older one was named Chia-Sin Chang, (Jason Chang), and the younger one was named: Chia-Yuon Chang aka Jia-Yuon Chang. Meaning: the House of Victory and The House of Bravery. Even though Xi-Xuin Chang had two kids with her, he was pissed and can't wait to kick her ass as soon as he get his Family Pattern back, she did ruin what he's built. After she had the sons of the hood's Ex Godfather, she was declaired a Nai Nai Chang, (Nai Nai Chang No.2, the second Chang's holy Granny of Daddy Chang). Xi-Xuin played her ass well, after they had the kids, and gotten married, she finally gave up da Family Pattern. Well, what do you know? The first thing Chia-Chen Chang saw when he entered da hood of Hua Lian, he saw a man dragging a woman by da hair on da ground all the way from their house through the streets and she was screaming her ass off. People were watching but they were scared to do anything about it because everyone in dat neighborhood was afraid of him. Little as Chia-Chen Chang knew that that man, was his father: Xi-Xuin Chang (The once again self declaired Godfather of da hood.) Chia-Chen Chang has found his father, and met his two new baby brothers for the first time. Their age differences were big. Chia-Chen Chang then settled in Hua Lian with his father and the new family for a lil while before he went to da military school. Xi-Xuin Chang then decided to pass down the Family Pattern and made sure that when Chia-Chen Chang has his son, the door-way into this world must be formally and officially opened for the spirit of The Temple. Chia-Chen Chang took the Pattern and kept it well hidden. He then met a beautifull girl in Hua Lian. She was both a beautifull person inside and outside. Her name was Pi-Eh Lan (Belle Lan), later on became the mother of (Daddy Chang). Him and her got into a relationship and kept in touch even when Chia-Chen Chang was in the military. They would write to eachothers and shit like that. Chia-Chen Chang later on had a nick-name in the military that everyone used to call him. He was known as: The Lobo, "Lobo Chang". A lobo is a wolf that usually hunts it's enemies with a plan. Chia-Chen Chang was never a big guy, but would always plan out a strategy on how to get back at whoever's messed with him. One example was this huge guy, this guy would always throw rocks at people everytime they try to take a piss. The old school military washrooms were shitty, and whoever would try to fight back to this big guy would end up having their face pushed in shit because the shitter area was this huge hole that you can see straight down the shit. And sometimes the shit level would be all the way up to almost the surface of the shitter, so any little mistakes in the shitter can have your whole body covered in shit. So as there was a bully in the washroom, a lot of people were afraid to go use the washroom and had to sneak out to da field at night to take their piss and their shit causing a lot of un-nessacery morning push-ups. The Washroom bully would tell most of the smaller guys that if they didn't wanna get messed around with in da shitter, they gotten give him an extra bread-ball at lunch time. It was like he owned that washroom and only he can use it without issues for him. Finally one day, Chia-Chen Chang decided to come up with a plan and gotten a couple of buddies to go along with him on it. He first bought these strong shitting pills at the paramedic military shop and had one of the food guys to put it in his soup after lunch. Then stuck the garbage bag leafs into the washroom sewer pipe line, then they started pumping water through the other side of the pipe line and blocked off the other shitter sewer lines as well. They had some help from some of da superiors because the superiors were starting to get sick of that punk as well. After a while, finally, the watch boy sees him booking into the shitter. As he is booking in there, the shit level was almost to the surface. So he then he took his shit, body half bent down, then the boys pushed on the out line shitter door getting ready for the other guy to hammer da long wooden brick to the door. Then 4 other boys on each 2 sides of the shitters climbed up with two huge rocks and they through them straight down the shitter splashing da shit all over that Big guy. Then the pipe line guy pumps the flush back up da shit line and the whole shitter room started to burst out all the shit, ccovering this guy in shit. It was a day of glory, Chia-Chen Chang, the man with the plan, officially became, The Lobo, the wolf head of his pack: "Lobo Chang" (The Father of Daddy Chang). Lobo Chang later ..d his way up in the military and got transfered to the main base of Taiwan Navy Central office. He started doing documentry work and fell in love with writing books on sub-marines. He then met his life long best friend Wu Bao-Tai (The Godfather of Daddy Chang). Wu Bao-Tai was a respected man in the central base. He had power and knew how to read people like a book. They moved their way up fast. Lobo Chang later on became a Major stepping up to be a Brigator General. He then married Belle Lan and had their first kid, just shortly after Xi-Xuin Chang had passed away, They named their baby boy with Xi-Xuin's sacred wish. They went with the Family Pattern but had their own choice of what the spiritual "Temple" should represent the Era of The Glory. They finally came down to a decision. Since Xi-Xuin Chang walked a dark, unjust, and vile life, they decided to name their child: Tien Yun Chang / Tien Yu Chang, meaning: "The Temple of Light, Justice, and Compassion". or just "The Temple of Light". The child was (Later on known as the rapper: "Daddy Chang"). At the same time Lobo Chang was considering retiring and start some honest business or writing books about the navy, he was tired since there was so much corruptions in the Navy. Most navy soldiers were dirty, but the government was dirtier. So the only way to survive in the force was to have some dirt on you. Although Wu Bao-Tai and Lobo Chang had a lot of respect from others in central Naval Base, they were tired of having to keep secrets and covering peoples' asses for them. So they decided to retire and go into business together as Sub-Marine battery import/export with Europeans, since Lobo Chang had spent quiet some time in Europe on several Military Business trips, it shouldn't be too hard to start they thought. Lobo even lived in Neatherland for a couple years and brought his wife and kid with him there before. As time goes by, Lobo's life went from a poor soldier's family to an OK life style. Then he later on had his second son, (Baby Brother of Daddy Chang): Tien Hsiang Chang (Michael T. Chang), "The Temple of Good Life". But it's funny how life works sometimes. At the time, he current President of the country was: Lee Teng-hui, an actual Native Taiwanese trying to get rid of all the outer province soldiers. Meaning all the soldiers that came to Taiwan with Chiang Kai-Shek or sons of any soldiers of Ex President/General Chiang Kai-Shek. So either Lee himself or his people set da murder up on the Assasination of General Ying Qing Fong and put most of the Outer Province soldiers in prison as well as pointing at them as suspects to the murder of General Ying Qing Fong. General Ying Qing Fong was shot on a boat and had his body dumped down the bottom of the ocean. His old friend Liu Su had many connections in the Naval Force. Liu Su was also a friend of Lobo Chang. A lot of soldiers were put in prison for different reasons connected for da same purpose. At the same time, dumb ass detectives who don't know nothing were trying to proove themselves as well. Lobo Chang at that time had retired with Wu Bai-Tai shortly before the incident. He was also collecting sub-marine files from the military for one purpose only to write his book about sub-marines. So they used that as an excuse and put him in military prison for collecting top secrets. And also, he was a friend of Liu Su. Liu Su was one of the top suspects of the Assasination on General Ying Qing Fong. But everyone knew it was the dirty Ex President Lee Teng-hui himself who set it up because all the small time journalists who's dug up evidence on dirty Ex President was all found dead afterwards. But nobody knew who they were and nobody gave a fuck. So as this incident went down, it became a politicians' civil war. It wasn't even about the murder no more. The murder was just a trigger pulled by someone starting the politician war. As the politician civil war goes on, Lobo Chang was getting by in da military prison. He had several trials with the help of his wife and his friends gathering evidence for him on behalf of a writer just trying to write a book. At the same time, the battle between the politicians had helped many clear their names. Though he was later on declaired innocent along with several other, he still had to spend 2 more years for collecting top secret as the first guy in Chinese military history put in prison for that. However, as he got out, with the help of a powerfull friend of his high up in the rank, "Name Confidential", helped him clear the criminal record. Also the Court and the government didn't really give a shit if he gets out of the country anyways, he was just a book writer. So they granted him the immunity clear of da record. But most of the others on the list didn't get that, so they couldn't get immigrations to certain countries such as Canada. And since Canada's immigration office won't allow anyone in with a record as a citizen, most of his old military colleagues couldn't get in, only he could. So it was a perfect place for Lobo Chang to temporary hide his kids untill the storm is completely over. Little as Lobo knew that putting his kids in a white town when they didn't speak a word of English along with the racisms might just cause another smaller storm. Lobo then decided to start a business with his little brother Jason Chang in Shanghai. Jason Chang was at his glory stage of his life. He had a crew running several business projects and had several of his own KTV girls he was managing. As for his little brother Jia Yuon Chang, Jia Yuon went from a small time gang banger to a Hua Lian small local boss then getting ambushed with 20 of his crew members out-numbered by 50 enemy guys causing him to retreat to Taipei and settle there for a while staying low key and worked in Jason's company untill the company sued him for fraud, appearently he was set up and now he's hiding in Shanghai from that. Jason had his life together though, he became rich at a young age and was the closest uncle to Daddy Chang.
PART 2:
Chapter 1. Birth of the Temple.
("As the golden light shines to white, I knew that I was here"), says the current one. It was the most unforgetable memory of his life time he said. As the water broke, the woman did not feel it, the doctor was not there yet. The baby was running out of breath in it's tomb, something was wrong, he himself could feel it. ("But I can't die now, it's me, Im here"), the voice said in it's spiritual language. The new built creature started to struggle, it saw that the golden light itself was still shining and trying to get in to help him. Woman felt something, she called for the doctor and the opperators rushed in and started the opperation. It was a tough one, the baby's head was too big, the woman was having an extra hard time. The husband was there, other family members were waiting out side. The struggle went on for a while, it became real hard for her, some how the baby felt like it was getting pulled back at the same time trying to get out. ("He's mine, no, he's ours") said the voices in the creatures head. "But it's me, Im here, I can't end now, it's just the beginning!!!" said the spirit. He knew that he was here, and there seems to be a problem. As the woman kept struggling for another period of time, she couldn't handle it no more, the woman fainted. Husband panics and the doctor wakes her up with an injection. At the same time, the battle between the spirits continued. The vile ones armed with skulls and and diabolic weapons said to the Angelical ones: "This one is ours, you shall take no more of what our master hungers for, and he is very hungry". The beautifull creatures replied with the scroll of Heaven: "Thou shall not take the Light That Shines The Hope For The Ones In The Dark". "Then we shall let the spirit itself choose otherwise." replied the vile ones. The spirit simply rephrased: "But it's me, Im here now". All of a sudden, the creature sucks in the spirit as it falls at the same time, a giant hand catches the creature, and pulls it through a waterfall portal. "There you go mam, its a boy." Family members then came in and celebrated with the woman. "The Temple made it safe to the real world, but darkness is preying upon him," said the voice of the Heaven's messenger. "We shall have the father present the Temple as: "The Light". said the Heaven. The baby was then named: (Tien Yun Chang / Tien Yu Chang). 'The Temple of Light'.
Chapter 2. Nightmares.
The boy ran up the hills, as hard as he tried, but his legs won't stop slowing down, he tried to gun it foward, but it seems like the more he tries the more he slows down. He panics, doesn't look back for once, instead he searches for the next turn and a place to hide. It was a green alley with nobody around, darkness shades up every corners. As he turns into a smaller alley, a lady in a broken white dress with one eye the size of a base-ball demonic face, looks at the boy, and fills his gut up with fear. All of a sudden, she flys towards him in a really fast speed, BOOM, the boy screams and wakes up. "Nightmare again honey?" the mother picks the boy up and put him on her shoulders as the he cried in fear of falling back asleep. "Almost every nights he would have nightmares like that, and everytime as he describes it, it's always some demon looking things chasing him or something like that." said the woman. "Oh, and he mentions that a lot of times when he's trying to fall asleep, there's always this pair of black hands grabbing onto his ankles trying to pull him down or something," then she gets off the phone. The boy looks at the mother and asked; "Mom, why are the monsters always coming for me?". The mother said: "Because baby, they are the bad guys, and you are a good kid, but you stop worrying ok? mom is got your back." After a series of nights after nights woken up by her child screaming, she decided to look for some help mentally wise for her kid. Since her husband was always in Europe on military business trips, she would always phone up trusted friends and neighbors or her brothers to come over and help her take care of shit. One of her brother was a cop, so one day he put the boy to bed and gave him an unloaded gun and told him to put it under his pillow, he told him to use it next time the monsters try to hurt him again in his dreams. "Now this is a special weapon boy, you can only take it out in your dreams, otherwise it won't work no more, so the next time the monsters try to hurt you, you just pull this trigger and shoot them in the dick," said the uncle. "But then again they just might not even bother you anymore, since they know that now you can hurt them and you ain't scared of them anymore right boy?" "Yes uncle, thank you for the gun." The mother wasn't sure if that was the best idea to help her boy get rid of his nightmares, but her brother told her to give it a try for a night. So what do you know? It worked, the boy stopped having constant nightmares after that. "The boy" was of course: (Tien Yu Chang) aka: Today's Daddy Chang.
Chapter 3. Monsters Escapes Into The Real World.
Just a year before the boy started going to kindergarten, his mother bought him this toy truck. The toy truck had a rope tied to the front with a big space in the back to fill stuff in with. And he would always go out in the neighborhood's back alley playground and fill the truck up with a whole bunch of sand and pull it back all da way to the house. His mom used to have to clean dat shit everytime he comes home for dinner. And she would just smile at him and say: "My little BaoBao, remember to go wash your hands before you eat ok?!!!" BaoBao was the nickname his mom gave him. Ever since BaoBao started going out to the hood's back alley playground, there was always kids preying on him most of the time. He's once had a kid go up to him and swing a wooden baseball bat across his face for no reason. That was the first time in his life he had to get stitched up. But then afterwards, one of BaoBao's best friend in da neighborhood Xiao Xiang told his older brother about it. Xiao Xiang's family was really poor so BaoBao used to give him a lot of toys. So Xiao Xiang and his older brother brought along 7 other kids including BaoBao to find this kid responsible for hitting BaoBao with a baseball bat. They went back to the same spot and looked around da same time 3 days in a role and finally found the kid. Then they demanded the kid to apologize to BaoBao before they beat and took his toys. Then the kid was laying on the ground crying. Then Xiao Xiang and his brother's friends left. But then BaoBao felt bad and went back and gave the kid back BaoBao's share of his toys they jacked. The he asked the kid why he hit him with a baseball bat for no reason last time, the kid didn't reply. Instead he spat on BaoBao's shoe. He was still half crying on the ground, but he started staring at BaoBao with these angry eyes. As BaoBao turned around and started walking away, he said to BaoBao: "My father is strong man, and he's gonna beat you guys for this, and so is my big brother." Then BaoBao went over to him, reached out his hand as an offer to help him up, but the kid just spat on his hand and told him to go fuck his mother. Back in Taiwan's old days, the phrase: "Go Fuck your mother" was like: "Go Fuck Yourself" in the west. Even the lil kids in da neighborhoods used to say it all the time for fun; "Go fuck your mother". BaoBao didn't understand why the kid hated him so much when he tried to offer him peace twice. So he gave up and told the kid what his mother has always taught him: "Bad guys will have bad luck, Good guys will have good luck, so I will have good luck, and you will have bad luck!!!" said BaoBao to the kid before he started walking away. As he started to walk away, the kid on the ground started calling him names and laughing at him. But BaoBao didn't care, he just kept walking. Then as he passes by the alley with the higher grass hills on the side, couple of lil girls on the top hill saw the whole thing and started throwing rocks at him because they thought he was the bad guy. Then they started yelling names at him and kept on throwing tree sticks and shit at BaoBao as he started running away. After that day, BaoBao started to stay home a lot with his mother before his first year of kindergarten. He thought that there was too many bad guys out there. It was a good thing for his mom as well because she didn't want him to turn into one of those wild kids. Wild kids were mostly the ones in da hood who liked to follow their big brothers and cousins to cause shit and steal stuff from the local small stores. Most of these kids' parents were poor, and they were known as the the problems in the neighborhood. And there was a lot of them.
Chapter 4. The Kindergarten's Hero.
Ever since BaoBao started going to da kindergarten, he's always loved to grab this toy mic from the toy boxes and start telling stories to the other kids. So all the other kids gave him a nickname and started calling him Lee-Mic. The kindergarten was only for the children of country's high ranked soldiers, so even most of the young kids in the kindergarten had a lot of pride which their parents demanded of them. But Lee-Mic was always the funny kid that made every one laugh, and entertained them with his stories. Along with the famous Lee-Mic in the school, there was these two other kids that made a big name for themselves as the kindergarten bullys. They would always pick on the small kids and beat anyone who doesn't bow to them in the hallways. Their names were Li-HaoHao and Mantis-King. Li-HaoHao was in the same grade as Lee-Mic, but he was bigger than most of the kids include the middle n big-grade classes. Mantis-King was the kid that owned the play-ground. He would have the kids give him a toy everytime they wanted to play with the slides. So the kids started stealing from the toy boxes and would catch a beating from the teachers afterwards. Lee-Mic used to stand up to these two bullys for the other kids but often got his ass kicked afterwards. All the other kids would first start to chant Lee-Mic's name untill he started losing the fight. Then they would switch to chanting the bully's names cause they were afraid to get beat. Except for Ming, she always chanted for Lee-Mic even when he was getting his ass beat down on the floor and kicked by the two bullys and couple of other boys. She would always tell him to stand his ass back up when the other kids were chanting: "Beat his ass, beat his ass". Ming was Lee-Mic's best friend in the school. She used to sneak out with him during the class periods and go on adventures then come back to catch a beating from the teachers. One day, Li-HaoHao took Ming's lil toy doll and wouldn't give it back, so Lee-Mic tried to help her out but got his ass beat down. Then Ming started jumping on Li-HaoHao and try to scatch him up, but then Li-HaoHao slapped her and pushed her down on the floor. This time Lee-Mic did not stay on the ground, he was pissed. He got up and went crazy. He started biting on Li-HaoHao n punching him wherever he could, and didn't care if he himself was getting hurt. Then Li-HaoHao the big huge bully started crying and gave up trying to fight back for the first time. So Lee-Mic stopped as the fat bully cried out with da desire of mercy. The kids were chanting Lee-Mic's name, then the teachers came and gave the three of them a beating. Li-HaoHao stopped picking on the other kids after that, he was afraid of Lee-Mic. So the Mantis-King in the Big-Grade class heard about it and started giving Lee-Mic troubles. Untill one day he made the same mistake as Li-HaoHao for picking on Lee-Mic's girl. So Lee-Mic was pissed. He went n took two plates from the kitchen area and walked straight up to the playground. Then he aimed one plate at Mantis-King and threw it straight to his face like a Frisbie. Then the bully started to bleed from his nose and cried. Then Lee-Mic went up to him and smashed his face again with the plate. The bully then stayed on the ground and cried for a while. After that, Lee-Mic had to get transfered to another school. The last time he saw Ming was at the kindergarten gates waving to him as a goodbye as he took off in his father's car. After Lee-Mic got transfered to a new school, he was refered to his real name again. Not BaoBao, nor Lee-Mic, but his real name: Tien Yu Chang. His parents got him transfered to a mountain kindergarten where the teachers would do a lot of activities with the kids in the forest and teach them about survival skills in the wild. He used to love to swing on this rope they tied up on the giant tree across the dirt field. And he learned how to ride da bike for the first time in his life. And most of the moutain kids were really friendly to him. One day he fell off the swing and hit his head on the rock. He was fine after he recovered in the hospital. But after that fall, sometimes he'll become a lil slower than he used to. So the kids in the new school thought he became stupid or something. Untill one day he answered to this one question asked by the teacher, the question was: "Which is a happier place to live in, the village or the city?" Most of the kids just picked one of them. But Tien Yu Chang said that: "The people in the village craves to be apart of the city, and the people in the city craves to be apart of the village, so who can be happy anywhere? But mother said if we can all cherish what we have in our life, there is no difference between living in a village or living in a city, we can all be happy anywhere on earth." A lot of kids laughed at him for what he said, but he was the only kid that got a compliment by the teacher.
Chapter 5. The Arrival Of Tien Yu Chang's Lil Brother: Michael.
As Tien Yu Chang grows up just before going into his first year of elementary school, his mom had a second kid. His mother thought that it would be cool for him to have a bro to play with at that time as well as somebody to fully trust and rely on in da future. And it was a really big life experience for Tien Yu Chang because he always wanted a brother. The first year when Tien Yu Chang's brother Tien Xiang Chang (Michael) was born, Tien Yu would always sit beside his baby brother everytime he falls asleeps and watch him sleep like a little angel. He would always say to his lil brother to hurry up and grow up so they can play together. Everytime young baby Michael crys, Tien Yu would pick him up like a foot ball and swing him back and forth to try and make him feel better, but it always made it worse. And his mom would always trip out at him cause she thought Tien Yu was goin drop his ass. As Michael grew couple months older, he said his first word, and it was: "Ga-Ga", meaning: (Big Brother) in Chinese. As young baby Michael was growing up, Tien Yu stopped playin with most of the kids in da hood and started playing with his lil brother most of da time. Their mother's brother, the cop, used to try to give them these unloaded guns to play with, but their mom always refused his gifts. So he bought them a couple of BB guns instead. So Tien Yu and his lil bro Michael would always go on the back house balcony and shoot their BB guns at the college students across da building. Da students used to get really pissed off and start yelling and screaming across the apartment hood telling them to discipline their kids. And the whole hood would scream back at them because they thought they were dissing their kids. Tien Yu and his lil bro Michael would just laugh at that shit so hard aaytime. One day Tien Yu took Michael to the near by park to play with, and some kid started throwing rocks at Michael for no reason, just for his own fun of it. Tien Yu was pissed, so he picked up this big piece of mental pipe beside da construction zone and started hitting the kid with it. All of a sudden the kid's father from far distance away started screaming and chased after them. He tried to throw one of his shoes at them. The father was pissed, cause he saw his kid was gettin beat by a metal pipe, but little as he knew it was his kid who started it. So Tien Yu and Michael ran from this crazy old man for a block and climbed over this fence across to da farm field and hid under somebody's chicken cage untill da sky was almost dark. Then they both went home and caught a beating afterwards from their mom for coming home too late.
Chapter 6. The Piano.
Since Tien Yu's father moved up a rank in da military, they moved closer to the city, but still pretty of close to the old hood area. So Tien Yu had to start taking the bus to school everyday. As Tien Yu Chang was going to elementary school, he started falling in love piano. He used to watch this song composer Richard Clayderman on TV all the time and would ask his mom constantly if he can have a piano. So she started saving up and got him a piano and a teacher afterwards. He then learned a lot of classical shit at first from the teacher, but then he started having this crave of writing his own songs one day. So a lot of times he would just ignore the practice of what the teacher gave him and play around on his own shit. He gotten good at it and played on stage couple times for some local kid's talent performance shows. Nobody in school knew he had that talent though. Even in the music class he would never say a word, he would just stare at the piano with da desire to get his hands it cause he never wanted to look like he was showing off. Most kids in da school who liked to show off would often get their asses kicked by the hood kids. And Tien Yu Chang was always good friends with most of the hood kids. Hood kids were the ones with poor family who liked to cause shit, steal shit, and work as drug delivery boys for their big brothers and uncles. And every year there would be a number of them getting kicked out of school for school-yard gang fights. Tien Yu Chang never was a fan of going to school so a lot of times he would hang out with the hood kids helping them sneak stuff into the school. He kept a low key profile, so the teachers wouldn't have their eyes on him. Then he would hand over a thick colored plastic bag full of fire-crackers, toys, cigarettes, and knifes to da high grader kids. None of the teachers ever caught him or bothered trying to catch him because his student-trouble record was clean. But still, he never liked da teachers and da education system, so his only down-fall was that his grades were always too low, and da teachers would always beat him and other students who don't get good grades. So he hated going to school. And that was the common thing he shared with the hood kids. As he made his way to the 6th grade, most of the hood kids in school were kicked out, so one day he finally decided to play the piano after school when nobody else was there. As he played on for a while, his teacher walked in the classroom. She was surprised by what he could do on that thing, so she asked him why he never shared this talent with anybody before, so he told her da reason n she was impressed by his honesty. So she decided to have him play at the grad. He refused at first, but then she talked to his mom and they both decided that he shouldn't hide his talent, they told him that talents are meant to be shared with the world, that's why God gave it to him. So he played at the grad just 2 days before he took off to Vancouver Canada, he made the crowd laugh at first pretending he didn't know what he was doing, then with a sudden surprise he stunned his whole class afterwards, they had no idea he could make such a beautifull sound with that thing. Note: (Elementary schools in Taiwan only have 6 grades).
Chapter 7. A New World Of The West.
After Tien Yu Chang's father Lobo Chang's incident with the military, Lobo decided to move his family to the west. So Lobo gave his son Tien Yu Chang an English name: "Dave", as his current middle name before he went to Canada so he could have an easier name for the Canadians to call him. He even sent his wife to watch his kids for a while and went to Canada himself to set things up for his kids before he took off to Shanghai. So Tien Yu Chang was then called "Dave" by Canadians. Dave's father thought it'd be better for his kid to live in a white town so he can get used to the western culture faster, boy was that ever a bad idea. He couldn't speak no English, he was different to all the kids there, he had to retake his final year of elementary school again, and most of all he had to face the racism towards him by both the students and the teachers. It wasn't even his choice to be there, but da kids didn't give a shit. They would tell him to go back home on his rusty boat, or call him a chink. And they would make fun of him and throw shit at him all da time. At first Dave would just smile at them because he thought they were playing with him. Plus he didn't understand a damn word they was saying to him. Then he started to catch the words one by one and what they meant pretty fast. So in a really short amount of time, he was able to speak English fluently with the help of those punk ass kids along with TV. TV was what got him to fall in love with rap by the way. The first rap CD he bought was a C-Murder's album. Anyways, so as he started to learn da English language, he started realizing what those kids were saying to him. So he would start getting in several fights with them for the sake of his honor and his family's honor. Then he decided since he could speak English now, plus there was a 100 of them and only one of him, he decided to learn everything he could about the Western Canadian culture. so at least he would have an easier time trying to fit in with Vancouver later on. It was finally starting to help a lil bit untill he started attending high-school. When he got to high school, there was a couple more Chinese families and international students who's just moved there. So since he didn't want those kids to have the same shitty ass times he went through, he started helping them a lot. He started showing them around the school, helping them out on homework and shit like that, and sometimes even standing up for them when certain white kids would pick on them. But afterwards, a numerous of ungrateful Chinese students saw his good intentions as a joke. So they started informing other Chinese kids with false information about him or tell them how he'd a bad influence on the kids since he's always gettin in fights and troubles and shit like that. Next thing you know, a lotta Chinese kids in school turned their backs away from him and never once stood up for him when he was in trouble. Dave was hurt by that, his own kind, turned their backs on him when he's always helped them and got their backs. One day, a white kid twice Dave's size started giving him shit, then all of a sudden another white kid jumped in. Then the other guy just simply walked away. The kid that jumped in for Dave had a lot of pieces stocked at home and most people in town knew about that. Dave didn't even know that kid and he jumped in for him. So Dave honored and showed him the respect as they met. The kid told Dave that his name was Roj and that he was from South Africa. And he deals with shit like that all the time since he's moved to Canada. Since he stood up for Dave that day, Dave's helped him through a lot of problems and a lot of shitty times. (Roj is now one of Daddy-Chang's best friends, also known as: Royal-White). As years went by in high-school, Dave got kicked out twice and had to take this special program with a couple of kids in Surrey. And all he did during that program was getting high everyday during the breaks. Surrey was a town full of hoes and druggies, and a lot of East Indians as well. So after Dave finished the program, he met a couple of people in Surrey and started moving blow for them. Untill one day his mom came back to Canada from Asia to visit him and check on how he was doing. He was hooked on shit at that time, but his mom didn't know. So he took a vow to himself that he would turn his life straight again and go back to school. As Dave was trying to quit numerous of things, it was getting hard for him, so he started having a drinking problem. He upset his mother so much that from times to times she faint and go to the hospital more than once. Then one day, the doctors found out that she had a possible threat of cancer cells growing inside her that they had to do a surgery on her to remove that shit. Dave was scared for the first time in a while. He prayed like he's never prayed before during his mother's opperation and he cried like bitch like never before because he thought his mother was going die. His mom was ok afterwards, the threat of cancer was gone. He started spending a lot of time with her in the hospital and took care of her most of the time. After she could walk again, he switched his number and seperated himself from the outside once again. He made sure his mother was OK whenever he's got his eyes open. He thought to himself that maybe in a way, his mother's cancer threat has saved his life after all. After about a year, his mother's gotten better and started doing voluntary charity works with this Chinese Buddhist group call Tzu Chi. This Tzu Chi foundation was led by a wise woman leader named Master Cheng Yen. Today, Tzu Chi has members almost everywhere in da world in many different countries with people of all different religions include Christians, Muslims and Buddhists. They are constantly doing goods in the world without getting recognized by too many. Even the Zulu chiefs from South Africa respected them and allowed them to spread their educations in their villages. Tzu Chi members have done a lot for the Zulu children. They also taught their women to work. Dave's mother was a student of Master Cheng Yen, a Tzu Chi member. So with the help of his mother's good influences, Dave went back to school again. Since he took that program the school demanded of him, he could attend the old school again. This time he went back and surprised a lot of teachers. His report cards went from "Fails" to straight A's. And then most of the Chinese kids thought he was gettin smart and tried to hang out with him again. But he just simply told them to go fuck themselves. As he gets to grade 12, a new group of Chinese students arrives at that school. This time the older Asian Cats tried to spread bad reputations about Dave again, they told the new cats about most of Dave's stories and expected them to see him as a joke. But instead, this time the new cats showed him respect, they saw Dave as an elder with experiences. One time a bunch of kids threw an apple at one of the Chinese kid's BMW, so Dave gathered up about 20 Chinese students and started asking questions in the parking lot. Dave walked in the very front of 20 Asian boys behind him. On his right side was the kid who got his BMW hit by da apple. And on his left, was Jeff (Another one of his real close friend today). The BMW kid's family owned a huge night-club in Taiwan and had a cousin with many Asian crew members in the nearby Asian City called "Richmond BC." just about 20 minutes away from there. So they not only pissed off a friend of Dave's, but they pissed off the wrong guy himself as well. So as Dave started asking questions in the parking lot, he had one of his boys telling the principle not to be alarmed. Dave and the principle was tite, and plus he wasn't planning ..ing a war or anything, he just wanted to make it clear to those kids that if shit like that happened again, the BMW boy will have his cousin bring a new number of four times the people after them. After that day, the Chinese people in da school were left alone, Afterwards, Dave graduated and went back to Asia for a lil while to make some big money.
Chapter 8. Under The Dragon's Wings.
After Dave graduated from highschool just a year before he went back to Asia, He started making music with his partner DanDan Chen in Vancouver. The he started working at a Modeling/Talent Agency called the: AC Production founded by Annie Chou with her partner Johnny Chiang with their own music studio. He first started helping Johnny compose songs for local Asian talent shows in Vancouver, then he started helping Annie re-cut music tracks for their fashion shows. Then he started going to the casinos with a couple of Models he met and fell in love with playing cards and gambling. Dave then formed a group with DanDan Chen called DC-Dreamerz making music for online games in Asia. Then he decided to become a rapper himself and named himself his first emcee name: "D_Phantom 0909 / D_Fantom." Few other artists just called him "(D_Fantom)". D_Fantom then started making his own music and started writing his own lyrics. Then he did a couple of small local shows in Vancouver for both night clubs and festivals. Then he decided that he needed to make some money and create something bigger for himself. So then he flew to Taiwan and started learning how to do bigger company business with his uncle Jason Chang. Then he started partying with him and his models most of the time. They managed a couple of KTV girls together and made some money off of that. Then every single night became about getting laid and getting paid. D_Fantom then went to Shanghai with his uncle, worked with his father for a bit there. Then he started partying there. He then met a lot of local DJ's and did a couple of shows there. Then he would go back to da life style of: "Getting paid, and getting laid". Then his uncle hooked him up with another job in his factory making computer devices. And everyday after work, they would go out with their weird ass clients and get drunk a fuk with them. Then him and his uncle would hook their clients up with their KTV models and they would get paid while their clients get laid. Although D_Fantom has slept with many women before, he's always considered himself he only made "LOVE" with a few of them in his life time who he truely loved. As D_Fantom was livin the sweet life in his life time, he still felt like there was something missing in his life. So he went to his father Lobo Chang for some directions. His father then told him that if he was to stay under the wings of a dragon, then how will he ever become a dragon himself. So D_Fantom decided to go back to Vancouver once again and look for what it was that was missing in his life. Around that same time just before he took off to Vancouver again, he made another big mistake in his life again. He had accidently fell in love with one of his girls and they secretly got engaged, her name was Cathy.
Chapter 9. The Search.
After D_Fantom got back to Vancouver, he started working with DanDan Chen on music again. Then after DanDan Chen took off to Japan, D_Fantom met another music friend through Annie Chou: Kaila. Kaila was more into rock and he was more into hip-hop. So they did a cool lil Collaboration together on a few tracks. It helped D_Fantom grow as a musician a bit more. Then D_Fantom finally decided that maybe it would be a good idea to get in touch with the film industry as well, it might just open more doors for him as an artist and a performer, So he attended Vancouver Film School and took the Fulltime Acting Program. At first he thought the school was wack, because they had to do all kinds of weird shit that he wasn't used to. But then afterwards he's found that the strange exercises helped his performance flow and focus a lil bit better. So he used that same concept and tried it out on his music. Then he started to realize that the new tunes he was composing became as strange as most of the weird shit they did in school, but he didn't care. And then he met one of his instructors named Michael Chase. Michael Chase was into music himself, after he's heard some of D_Fantom's music, he decided to use one of his tracks for the Grad film. D_Fantom had also helped the class rebuilt some movement music for the project so it could flow a lil bit better. After D_Fantom graduated and spent most of his money on Vancouver Film School, he was broke again. So he had the three options of either going back to China, start moving drugs again, or go back to playing poker. And he went back to playing cards and used that as a way of earning money. Then he decided that this acting shit just wasn't going do it for him, he wanted to be somebody bigger. So he decided to make a rap demo CD doing everything by himself. So he composed the beats, wrote the lyrics, and found as many local Vancouver artists as he could to work with, so then he did some collaborations with Kaila and a few others. He was trying to focus on too much though, so the album started to sound strange. He would smoke lots of weed, and get himself in this vision which nobody else could understand but him. Then he would use a lot of strange metaphors of words in his songs. As the demo album was almost finished, he started doing a couple of local shows in Cafes, and more festivles that his friends would hook him up with. It wasn't really going anywhere for him. So after he finished the album, he didn't know where to go with it, so he took it to Michael Chase. Michael Chase then told him to talk to this hip-hop producer who can give him some directions. So Michael Chase gave D_Fantom a number on a paper along with a myspace page address attached to it. So he went home and put the paper right beside his computer. He hesitated for a bit, then he rolled up a J and smoked it as he kept thinking to himself if he should just go back to Asia or keep searching for what it was missing for him. So he logged on to the myspace page on the paper Michael Chase gave him, and decided to contact these guys.
Chapter 10. The Birth Of DADDY CHANG
Joseph Morris Tancredi / Diamond Krownz / Dark Paradise Records / was the very first guy to help co-create D_Fantom's new image and sound. Then there was DJ Klementz, who had a big part in the re-creation of the artist's image. They also suggested D_Fantom to change his name as well. Morris also wanted to see what D_Fantom was capable of. So he would constantly ask him for big ammounts of money they needed for his project. D_Fantom always comes up with the money. He had to hustle hard in very short ammount of times. Then he came up with the money for his own album mixing as well as enough to finish up a whole new album. Most of the money came from playing cards. While he was trying to come up with a new name, he phones up his people in China and asked them what represents him the most as a rapper if they was to see him, and all his uncle's girls would either say something like sugar daddy, or mac daddy or such such. And that's what lead him to the name: "Daddy Chang". When he changed his name to Daddy Chang, memories of the things went through his mind of life shifts to simpler things yet, in a stronger view of his past. He then became a better rapper in a very short amount of time and was trying all kinds of new things with his producers on a whole different level. But very soon, Daddy Chang's producer Joseph Morris Tancredi had to fly to New York to work with the Ruff Ryders' producer: "Divine Bars" (One of DMX's first producers in the start of his game). Although around 2008, Daddy Chang not only became a better rapper, but had a better sense in business. As well as other desires to build an interest for productions in music and simular areas of close about careers. A whole new journey begins as he started working on his new movement and his own label: "Chang Family Music". He will soon become President of his own label as well as other Asian Talent Agencies with a several different partners.
