Interests at the top of my list: Bet you thought I was going to say pinball, eh? Well, it's true...even after breaking three world records and playing non-stop for weeks at a time, I still love to play! I love sushi, sashimi, sometimes a little sake and did I mention sushi yet? I love enjoying the company of my dear friends (especially while eating sushi)! I love discovering new music and writer/artists who make my heart smile. I also love to knit gifts for my friends when there's down time in the studio. I love the ocean, day or night...but, especially during a full moon!
Talented writer/artists, people who have done and are doing interesting things with their lives and people who do great things for other people!
Anything that's good!

"In The Presence Of High Beings (What Dolphins Want You to Know)" by Bobbie Sandoz-Merrill, MSW...I picked this up at my last visit to the Malibu Shaman, one of my favorite shops. I also enjoy reading autobiographies, especially about people involved in music. I was around when a lot of the great stuff started and was happening on the music scene in the '60s. It's interesting to read different views of what happened back then. Other favorites are "The Purpose Driven Life" and "The Bible." I also love to read Deepak Chopra and John Grisham. I've been a huge Erle Stanley Gardner fan since I was in junior high school. Kinky Friedman, an old friend of mine from my Nashville days in the '70s, has written some cool stuff too. And, of course, my dear friend John Braheny has written a great book, "The Craft And Business of Songwriting," which I recommend to anyone who wants to be a successful songwriter or learn about the business of songwriting. (He didn't pay me to say that!)
