HELLO THERE! Here's a bit of blurb on my musical life: I'm a singer/songwriter based on the Gold Coast in Queensland. I have been a professional singer for about 10 years performing all over South East Queensland, Australia and I recorded my first album of original songs in 2004/2005 entitled "Paper Memories". I received 3rd place in the Australian Songwriters Association national songwriting competition for 2004 for my first song "Love of my Life", and 2 other tracks took out 3rd place and a 5th place in 2005 (Paper Memories and Something Real). In 2007 I received a semi-finalist certificate in the UK Songwriting Competition for one of my new tracks "Somebody You Once Knew" which was produced by legendary session guitarist and Nashville Producer Louie Shelton. I have recorded 3 tracks towards the new album with Louie, and will be back in the recording studio in April 2008 to add some more.

Writing and performing my own songs is my passion and something I intend to follow for as long as possible. I love to write, I am always juggling the pieces of a song in my head and racing to the piano until they somehow fit together like the perfect puzzle and lead me onto the next one. I've been compared to lots of different female singers which is really nice, but I hope you will stay and listen and decide for yourself.

"She's not only a great songwriter, she's just got the most gorgeous voice" Alister Robertson - Logan City 101FM

"Beautiful Voice and a very talented lady. We're going to give Samantha as much exposure as we can here in New South Wales" John Spora - 2MCR Macarthur 1003.FM

"An enchanting voice........these are really beautiful songs" Joanne McGinnis 8CCCFM Alice Springs

It's a bit of an uphill slog when you're an independent, however the people that actually take the time to listen to the songs, or buy the CD, or even just leave a positive comment make it all worthwhile. Writing a song is challenging, beautiful, fun, difficult, satisfying and frustrating all at the same time. Which is why I LOVE it!!

Thanks for visiting my page. All upcoming gigs are listed here and any news is updated regularly. Please drop me a line or message if you have any comments or questions. Help to keep independent music alive and growing by giving our music a chance and telling others if you hear something you like! Some of the most beautiful and unique clothing is that which is not a 'big name label'....music is the same.....you just have to look and listen. KEEP SMILING :-)
