What Mythological Creature are you? (Cool Pics!)
created with QuizFarm.comMermaids are also known as Sirens. These creatures were beautiful women who tricked sailors into becoming completely entranced by their haunting voices and found death soon after. Not all stories of Mermaids are about gentle loving sea people. They are mystical, magical, and extremely dangerous. They have a way about them that brings anyone they are around to seem enchanted. They are very mysterious creatures and to meet one... Would mean certain Death. Let the song of the Sea fill your soul, for you are a Mermaid.I am looking forward to creating short stories good enough to put a collection together and to continue working on a novella and a novel from the college days of higher ;-) leaning. Who knows but I'm going to try to prosper at these projects. Also watching DVD movies & TV--Music--Reading. I spend a great deal of time on the computer mostly doing writing--email--working on a novel & other works. I love my animals & there are many. Love Art--favorite artists are Jackson Pollock--Kandinsky--Van Gogh. Also I believe in meditation--finding the center of ones creativity & letting it out in whatever form is working.
Your Brain's Pattern
Your mind is a creative hotbed of artistic talent.
You're always making pictures in your mind, especially when you're bored.
You are easily inspired to think colorful, interesting thoughts.
And although it may be hard to express these thoughts, it won't always be.

I'd like to meet:
I believe in the creative energy that pushes the universe outward and inward. Some people utilize that energy by producing art. Artists, writers, musicians, potters and those who find artistic expression in living their daily livesthis is who I am looking for to fill my space. Paintings that awaken the senses with newness of feelingI want to see what they produce. Writers who use their imagination to express in words the possibility of the spirit becoming realthese are people I want to know. Channeling the greats through expressionfinding understandinggiving into the stretches of painful self awareness in order to find a connection to your art. People have to be brave to create. There is the ability in each of us to find a form of creative power where we can find the center of our being. Having the guts to express is where the freedom of expression lies in wait. I want to meet the people who are willing to look inside and see the spirit of the elements of nature brewing within them and they ask what shall I do with the inspiration and say release itshare it if only with yourself or maybe one other person or to all those who want their senses to experience what is being offered or to those who do not realize that in sharing you are looking back at yourself. Just find a way to be alive and real and yourself...KNOWLEDGE IS POWER

Movies:
Peace, Propaganda & The Promised Land
Peace, Propaganda & the Promised Land provides a striking comparison of U.S. and international media coverage of the crisis in the Middle East, zeroing in on how structural distortions in U.S. coverage have reinforced false perceptions of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict... width="425" height="350" .... width="425" height="350" .... width="425" height="350" ..The Sound of Music & any other good Julie Andrews films. Robert Altman is my favorite director--A Wedding--The Player--Nashville--M*A*S*H--Gosford Park & many others. Hitchcock is brilliant & his films keep going on forever. CRASH--anything Cate Blanchett--Elizabeth--Bandits--The Aviator--Oscar & Lucida to mention a few. Moulin Rouge & Nicole Kidman--I like watching her. Jordana Brewster--D.E.B.S.. Love older films from the 20s--30s--40s to the present. Emma Thompson films--Dead Again is my favorite. Cary Grant--Kate Hepburn--Greta Garbo--Lauren Bacall--Irene Dunne--Carole Lombard--Humphrey Bogart--William Powell--Myrna Loy(The Thin Man Series)--The Barrymores--Judy Garland--Montgomery Clift--W.C. Fields--Harold Lloyd--Charlie Chaplin--Norma Shearer (The Women)--Laurence Olivier & Merle Oberon in Wuthering Heights. I love watching movies on TCM--IFC--Sundance Channel & On Demand & collecting DVDs. I can never get enough movies to watch. Independent Films are great--I never know what I am going to get. I love all the genres except I am not some much interested in Westerns w/ the exception of the exceptional one. Mysteries are compelling. Special Effects can be amusing & exciting but I like great dialogue. Love scenes can be left to the imagination or sensual w/ natural nudity w/ natural bodies for women & men. I'm always finding myself waiting for the next film that I want to see & never being able to get enough of them. I forgot to add Fried Green Tomatoes--I love that film.
Television:
I love ABC Soaps & Passions. Watch several shows on BBC America. There are so many shows to choose from. I watch CSI all shows. Desparate Housewives. Crossing Jordan. Medium. Ghost Whisperer. Numb3rs. HBO & Showtime Series. Loved Weeds. Watch Reunion to find out who dun it. Love Veronica Mars. Watch very few SitComs--though I love comedy. Other shows that I watch are Smallville--Las Vegas--Without a Trace--Nip/Tuck--Boston Legal--Law & Order Shows--South Park--The Daily Show--The Colbert Report. Willing to check out new shows if they sound good but know when to back away from crap. I love PBS & Logo & TCM & IFC & Sundance & all the choices of movies & cable series shows On Demand to choose from. I loved the series EPITAFIOS which showed subtitles On Demand. I do a lot of taping & staying up late at night to catch up. I loved THE BOOK OF DANIEL--check my blog. TV can be the best support for the times when you need a distraction from the natural pains & struggles of life. The Food Channel. And of course all the wonderful comedies on BBC America--esp. AbFab. And I am an obsessive case when it comes to Twin Peaks.

You probably own at least one pair of hiking boots
and have a lot of sweats. Most likely you're a
vegetarian (sometimes), are really into nature and animal
rights or practice the Wiccan religion or Universal Spiritualism.

Books:
work in progress--more to come--there are so many books already read & more to come--don't judge me by this book but I loved The Da Vinci Code by Dan Brown. I love mysteries as my favorite genre but not caught up particularly in reading specific genres. I prefer Literary quality to formulaic fiction. The current book I am reading & planning on spending a great deal of time with is 13 Ways of Looking at the Novel by Jane Smiley. It brings a great deal of insight into the art of writing & the identity of the writer & the motivation & need of the writer to write as often & as much as possible. Eventually I'd like to get into writing a mystery novel in the ilk of Agatha Christie & Dorothy L. Sayer. The Hours by Michael Cunningham is phenomenal. And never forget the Master Himself---William Shakespeare.
Heroes:
Joan of Arc, Sappho, Camille Claudel, George Sand, Virginia Woolf, Ellen Degeneres, Eleanor Roosevelt, Oscar Wilde, The Protesters at Stonewall, B. Emily Christian, Emily Dickenson, Jennie Fields, John Irving, Thomas Covenant, Julie Andrews, Kate Hepburn, Shawn MacKenzie. I'm sure if I thought longer there are others who would fit this category. One more person I'd like to add is my neice Christa. She is the bravest young woman that I know.
