Okay, where do I start? I start at 6 foot !!!! Lol..Well I want to write this myself so that it's not in third party and well maybe you can relate to my journey as an artist. I'm Italian, Jamaican, & Costa Rican. I got started in the entertainment biz when I was just a kid, modeling was my first real gig. I then got into music and was signed to R. Kelly with a Production deal at age 13. I went on from there to Capitol Records and signed a development deal at age 16. Julian Raymond (Vice President of Capitol Records) was my Producer, he is amazing. And "Jones" my last name was given to me by my manager Howie Hubberman and The Infamous Steve Jones from the "Sex Pistols". I got to perform everywhere from the King King club, Cat club, House of Blues, Galaxy Theater, Wiltern, all as a Punk rock Artist. It was very cool and gave me balls to get up there with the boys and prove that not only can girls do what boys do, we can do it better, backwards and in heels! I went on from there to join the world famous "Pussycat Dolls" as a lead vocalist. It was an amazing learning experience for me professionally as well as personally. I got to perform with Brittney Spears, Mya, Tom Jones, Patty La Belle, Scarlett Johanson, Monet Mazar and of Course Carmen Electra. I have also worked on Such Soundtracks as "Shall We Dance" And Shark Tale.†I was also featured on the song “Let It Breathe" (HUSH feat- Talib Kweli) for The "Bullet Proof" Album. With the Group I got perform in places like MGM Grand (Divas Live), MTV Asia Awards, Radio City Music Hall, Fashion Rocks, Rock the Vote, Viper Room and countless others. From that I was asked to work with D12 for the "How Come" video and also Dave Stewart for the "Alfie" Movie Soundtrack. I did vocals for Sir Mick Jagger, the song won the Golden Globe that year ! I've done modeling all along this journey in music. I'm currently working on my solo album, the live band is my driving force!! Tommy Kay (guitar) Gerry Brown (drums) Reggie Mcbride (bass) and Herman Jackson (American Idol keyboard soloist). Please feel free to Google search Kaya Jones, the MTV weekly series Kaya...
