Dalya, born Dalya Melilka Riley began singing at just two years old according to her mother who says she wasnt charged for Dalyas birth because she jumped out the second her mother laid down on the delivery table. Her journey in the music industry began at age fifteen when Dalya got in a singing group at Long Beach Poly High School in Long Beach, Ca with some girls in her choir class. They won several talent shows and from there she decided she was ready to take music seriously. Dalya signed her first record deal at age seventeen started writing and worked with the group Brownstone producers Gerald Billargaeu in the world famous Windsonic Studios in Beverly Hills, CA where the famous song We Are The World was recorded. She continued to develop her skills and worked with top name producers like Dj Quik, G1, and Ray Cham. Very determined to be known and recognized for her writing ability, Dalya took her development to the next level. She started working with Kieth Andes Babyface protégé and producer of Az Yet Last Night who discovered her through her manager at the time put lots of time and development into her later becoming her favorite working partner and responsible for helping her find herself as an artist. During that time she trained her chops with vocal coach Doc Holiday from Making of the Band who she owes her 8-octave perfect pitch to. She helped Kieth with artist Jessica first single Dont Give a Damn. But she didnt stop there. All that hard work paid off cause she sang one song and was asked to move to Chicago for three years by R. Kelly himself, where she was an understudy as a songwriter and producer, wrote and recorded seventeen songs with him and was referred to by R. Kelly as his eyes and ears. Since then Dalya has collaborated with Snoop, on a song called May I, Boo and Gotti, she wrote the hook to the certified Gold record Tonight Im Yours by Zane featuring Tank which hit top five on 106 and Park, has had songs featured on Eve TV show, worked with Deborah Cox, collaborated with the late Lisa Left Eye Lopez, Kurupt, Kam, and a host of new and up and coming artists. Dalya is now ready to release her very own LP, and has her own studio where she is cooking up her own stew of hits with her very own team of producers.NOW THAT IS MY BIO....HERE IS ME THE WOMAN BEHIND THE MUSIC.......IM FUNNY, WITTY, SWEET, BITCHY, FIESTY, AND THOUROUGH IN MY B.I.......IN OTHER WORDS....IM A THUGSTRESS.
