About Me

Tazzy Animal Rescue Fund was started January 1, 2005 by Leilani and Rick, Tazzy's humans, to honor his memory. Taz,their beloved Boxer, fell victim to the ravages of cancer. The grief was very difficult to deal with, but they found volunteering at animal rescues helped them cope. Helping other animals was not only rewarding, it also seemed a fitting way to honor the life of the animal who had given them so much joy. It only took a few short months to make a decision to start a fund to help save animals. The mission of Tazzy Fund is to raise money to support the animal rescue community with medical bills, transportation, fund and facilitate animal education in the school system, bring awareness to spay and neuter programs and send volunteer teams out in the field where needed most. We fund Horse, Dog, Cat and Bird Rescue efforts.Tazzy Fund also finances a Rescue Retirement Program called Save The Seniors in loving memory of Lorna Mae Duran. We pull senior animals who are dumped at shelters or in danger of spending their last days in a rescue kennel. We take them and put them into loving foster or adopted homes forever and cover all medical expenses.

URGENT HELP NEEDED!!!!!!!!Rolo is a one year old Boston/Bulldog Mix who was hit by a car in a very remote area and laid in a ditch for two days unable to stand or walk from his injuries.

Lucky for Rolo a road crew was working in the area and spotted him. We pulled him from the shelter on Sunday and he had his surgery yesterday.

Rolo had a shattered and crushed pelvis that pushed his hip and femur out of socket. After a very long surgery and expensive surgery he is resting comfortable and should make a good recovery.

Many generous people donated to help this sweet guy. We are still $429 short to pay the vet.

Any amount you can afford to send will make a difference. Please Help!

Urgent funds needed for Angie's Angie was bailed out from SLA shelter on Sunday, October 14th thanks to a caring individual named Paula who offered $500 towards her care. Angie was in danger of being pts and I just couldn't let that happen to her - she is so sweet! My heart broke when I saw her face filled with dispair. She was bred and probably used as bait as her front incisors/k9s were filed down and some appear to have been pulled out (see pic). Currently boarding at an eye specialist hospital, she is being treated for her skin condition, corneal ulcer on L eye, and emaciation. Dr. recommended chest xrays, which thankfully looked great and a biopsy on a small mass on her right rib area, results soon. She recommends doing dental xrays and possible work to prevent further complications/infections. So far the bill is over $800 and will surely amount to well over $1500, and the bill will have to be paid. I sent out a plea for her and nothing came through, but Paula. Every little bit helps!!UPDATE 10/19/07 The vet has recommened Angie stay 3 to 4 more days she is developing kennel cough and at her age and health condition it could become much worse.PLEASE DONATE TODAY TO HELP ANGIE!!!
