small things of beauty, i like the feel of soft damp grass under bare feet, the smell of new books, and old ones, dancing into music and remembering myself in the rhythms through the tips of my fingers and toes, my family and friends, their quirks, their uniqueness, their similarites, i love it when their eyes sparkle, deep belly laughter that makes you shake and tears fill your eyes, our cats, i love animals, all animals, and their funny ways, and remembering how we are all animals too, and how that fits into remembering our humanity . . . freshly brewed coffee on early mornings, dawn chorus, making and eating home cooked food together, silver linings, being a dog and chasing my tail, stretching . . . i like being conscious of my mistakes so that i can learn from them . . . friends who help me change the record if i get stuck, the sound of rain and grey muffled skies, sunlight catching me behind my eyes making me glow, firelight, parties where everybody feels welcome . . . geeks and people with passion, thinkers,
tinkerers, i love black and white, shadows, angles, colours and textures, i like seeing patterns in music and stepping on the lines, synaesthesia, .................... silence, i love silence and people who aren't frightened of it, i like laughing over awkward moments, smiling at strangers, random acts of kindness, ............. camping i love camping, simple nomadic living i have probably spent about three solid years or more or less of my life living under the stars, or under canvas, or by the ocean in trees or old stone huts . . . i'm interested in freedom, and what that means . . . individuality, and community . . . cultural diversity and all the bits in between. i LOVE processes . . . journeys . . . dreams . . . reality and fantasy and the spaces in between . . . i like dirt roads and the less trodden paths, eclectic drinking and eating holes, i have a love hate relationship with words, i like people who do what they say they'll do, and those that dare to fail, i love it most when they succeed and it ripples across into fourth and fifth dimensions . . . teaching, learning, children,
travelling . . . i like people discovering their potentials and being empowered . . . i love it when prejudices are knocked down and doors are opened . . . i like fighters who choose a way other than the sword, and for whom winning isn't the point... i love beautiful environments, and making environments beautiful . . . i like to listen, and i like people who listen, especially those who hear with other than their ears - . . . i like cheeky monkeys . . . tuned to the subtle winds of the heart and soul . . . fools and kings . . . i like driving fast and smooth . . . i like the feel of the air on my skin, i like the smell of my own farts . . . i don't like cages . . . i respect the wilderness . .. i prefer 'overgrown' gardens, and landscapes without frontiers . . . i like deserts and the call of the cicadas . .. i value integrity and strive to live truthfully . . . i struggle with confusion, and i love when the struggle softens into insight, and acceptance of immeasurable unknowns . . . i love life, i respect death, the balance can be held without cruelty of this i am certain . .. i aim to die well every day of my life . .. i love people who pick up trash that they didn't drop on their way to the bus stop . .. i like swimming in storms and hearing the rain when i'm underwater . . . i like people who sing, and dance, in the street, because the moment calls them to, careless of who may be looking . . .

i think happiness is important, but not at the cost of the truth of our tears, there are no short cuts . . . i do not hate money, but i hate what it has come to represent to so many, it is silly and makes no sense-if it weren't so tragic it would be ridiculously funny. Or should that be if it weren't so ridiculously funny it would be tragic . . .
what kind of world really believes that we can sell the sky, the sea, the moon? where we must pay for our water . . . ??? perhaps when we stop trying to dominate nature, and learn more to work with it we will be a step futher towards living and dying free..................
i perform, a performer, i like to design, to work with space - interior/exterior, i work with theatre and film, i like to work with music, with dance, and multi-media . i like to work with time. science and art to me are two sides of the same imagination - two dialects of a similar language . . . there are no boundaries to expression and no boxes that can truly hold them . . . i am an intuitive conceptualist who also appreciates the art of nonsense and noise. i like collaboration . . . i am working on a performance now, and will be then . . . i open willingly to new perspectives, to fresh hearts, to creative optimism, to chaotic combustionists and disciplined productivity. . . i am a director, and editor of images sounds and ideas . .. we all are i guess in many ways . . . i also write, and paint . .. i have a violin that needs new nuts so that i can learn to play again... sometimes i bang a drum, or strum the strings of a friend's guitar . . .
i have loved seeing family grow up into strong, unique, open and conscious individuals, i love that they are still growing, as am i . . . i like wrestling, it pumps my adrenaline and makes me giggle . . . i don't like being tickled, no matter how much it makes me laugh, i think it is an effective form of torture and punishment and i am likely to kick and bite when subjected to it. . . although sometimes i have the urge anyway to bite my friends so i do . . . not too hard, sometimes harder . . . and sometimes i have the urge to bite strangers, which i don't - as most of them really wouldn't understand . . .
