About Me

Ahh where to begin...we started this web site because everything in the world seems like it's falling apart and we're tired of not being able to do anything about it. Like it or not, all of us are here to share this space we call Earth, and there seems to be an absence of the love and compassion that we all once had, but lost somewhere in the day-to-day grind of our everyday lives. We seem to have lost the very fabric of humanity in a void of deceit and lies, in pursuit of worldly things like power and the almighty dollar. In a world where people just like you and I are dying at war, starving in our streets; in a world where such revolutionary inventions such as the electric car are not allowed to flourish because of the 3 trillion dollars worth of unrefined oil still under the Earth's crust; in a world where the biproducts of our waste have actually created this thing called "Global Warming" which could prove to become a serious detriment to all of our lives as we know them; and in a world where my dickhead neighbor would rather call the police and file a noise complaint then to simply stop over and say, "Hey guys, could you quiet down?", wouldn't you have to stop and ask at some point..."Where's the love?" It's not gone people. It may sound idealistic, but I've heard many times people speaking of these same things in hushed tones behind closed doors and the frustration in the voices of these people who know that it's just getting worse and worse every day...and no one does anything about it...in fact, no one even says a word. Modern lifestyle is shaped so that we don't realize what's really going on around us. Importances in our everyday lives seem to be revolved around celebrity gossip, hot new clothing labels, and who's got the biggest rims on thier new car. When you really think about it, how can we be so concerned with what's going on with Brad and Angelina's new baby or the new line of Sean John gear, while turning a blind eye to the things that really do matter. So now that we've identified the problem, the real question is...what are we going to do about it? We've been talking about this for a long time and the conversation always ends in frustration because there seems like we can notice things all we want, but there is little action we can actually take that will really make a difference. Before we take any kind of action, we need to educate ourselves and increase awareness of the greater underlying issues of the world which really do effect our everyday lives. But what is the most important issue? Which is more important, our brothers and sisters dying in a war over oil, or victims or Hurricane Katrina still trying to put their lives back together? These are questions that we certainly do not have answers for, but we want to get involved. Also, we certainly don't want to seem like a bunch and "cause heads" fighting for a different cause every week, but all of the things we're going to address boil down to the same basic concept. Love each other. Love each other instead of turning away and forgetting about it, because it only makes things worse. So we started this MySpace site to begin to get the word out there. To see if there really are that many people who feel the same way we do. Soon, if we get enough people to embrace these ideas, it becomes more than just one person fighting a losing battle. We will become an army, but not one that demands control by means of force. Each of us will know that we are not alone when we look at the stars at night and wonder how things got to be so screwed up in the world. I'm not going to pretend to be overly educated about the causes of ignorance in the general population, or what is really going on in the world today while I'm home watching The Surreal life, but I can tell you that it's time to make a change. So here's the deal...we thought we would put the word out there to see how many of us there really are...and if there are as many as we think, we think we should all make a pledge to educate each other and grow together. Let's start finding out about real world issues and what we can do to make a difference. Even if it's little things we can change, it's a start...after all, who says you can't Change the World?

My Interests

I'd like to meet:

Anyone and everyone who feels the same way about things that we do. We're not saying you have to run out and join the GreenPeace or anything, but jump on the friends list, hear what we have to say and give us your feedback. The world now has a suggestion box. Let us know if you would like to become involved or your ideas about what we as a group can do to get the ball rolling...you are not alone!
