Workin' on new material

About Me

Workin Lunch have survived now since September 2000, when they first emerged from the world famous Farnborough Six Form College, Hampshire, England as a multi-membered band playing a dangerously over-rehashed style of ska and punk, that could only be described as ‘awful’. Fresh out of recently disbanded The Green Giants, founding member Scott Miller formed the group with fellow class mate and local personality Nick Udall – the only two original surviving members. A string of line-up changes took place over the next two years, including the leaving of lead singer Dan in 2002. His replacement was Scott’s older brother Guy formerly of the Green Giants who found himself back in his hometown of Camberley, Surrey, on the announcement of Dan’s depature and which consequently reunited the two through music once again. Soon after, session drummer Jon Warren of the Academy of Contemporary Music, Guildford, Surrey, and childhood friend of Guy replaced original drummer Graham Healy bringing to the band a watertight rhythm section together with Scott on bass. Jon left to join Howards Alias in early 2005. Legendary drummer Aaron ‘Eggars’ Graham replaced Jon in April 2005…… and so the story continued…….

….One brilliant van, 1 re-conditioned engine, loads of EPs and one album, 1 ridiculously signing, a comic strip, a thousand commutes to Southy, general intoxication, and several UK tours later, Workin Lunch are still going strong.
Workin Lunch are currently writing for a full album release tracks so far written are: 1.We are all cartographers, 2.Kill it 3.Remission: i)birth ii)lifeiii)growth iv)Death 4.)Ice age begineth 5.) We all agree Pink Floyd - Live in Pompeii is so superior as to it may have been made by beings of a divine nature. The same goes for Led Zeppelin – The Song Remains the Same, of whom Scott in particularly has a special bond with which goes beyond even the metaphysical. Diagonal – awesome understated prog from Brighton and annual festival friends http://www.myspace.com/diagonalband
