The songs are propelled by the precise and powerful rhythm section of Rob King and David Ransom on the Drum Set and Bass Guitar, with the talented Matthew Roberts and Nick Horne adding a sound almost forgotten about in contemporary rock music, a horn section. With backing vocals more in turn with old fashioned rock and roll than anything contemporary and Nick Horne’s incendiary classical-influenced keyboard flourishes, singer/songwriter Matthew Reynolds’s complex, melodic guitar playing, his unique lyrical outlook and exceptionally distinctive voice are left in the fore front of this truly extraordinary band.
Howards Alias are currently about to embark on recording their eagerly awaited 4th album, since their brief hiatus in 2005-2006.
