Influences: We love, and are perhaps influenced by-
BRADFORD. Four tet, Flaming Lips, Charlie Brooker, Saul Williams, The Ruby Suns, Hot Chip, Gilberto Gil, Béla Fleck, Los campesinos!, Henry Makobi, The Go! team, Frank Zappa, Mr Scruff, J5, Mystery Jets, Anathallo, A hawk and a hacksaw, Andrew Bird, Orchestra Baka Gbine, Sufjan Stevens, Merz, Gorky's Zygotic Mynci, Menomena, Animal Collective, Orchestra Baobab, Ed Harcourt, Skream, Caribou, Penguin Cafe Orchestra, Final Fantasy, Feist, Mahala Rai Banda, Digital Mystikz, Gorillaz, Kocani Orkestar, Guillemots, The Shins, Gogol Bordello, Beirut, Os Mutantes, Tinariwen, Lemon Jelly.
Sounds Like: "First up Spodni Pradlo, a Bradford-based octet who've been causing quite a stir in these parts of late and certainly get The Cockpit's already burgeoning crowd warmed up on this chilly afternoon. Their sound, Gorky's Zygotic Mynci harmonising with Panda Bear(s), is buoyed by endearing boy-girl harmonies and the use of a mercifully un-Zutons-esque woodwind section.
Ones to watch, for sure."
Drowned In Sound
"Gypsy art dance youngsters who sound like Beirut remixing Mr Scruff, such beauty is yet to be matched we assure you."

"Putting them somewhere between Los Campesinos! Beirut and Lemon Jelly would not be an unfair assessment. Largely twee, sometimes out of tune but always hitting you with a pop nugget."
