Braden Land

to live is to fly; both low and high.

About Me

Braden Land grew up all over the country, from Denver CO, to Houston TX, to Peoria IL, to Albuquerque, NM. He finally started playing music when his family moved to Mississippi.Land has the kind of voice that one can attribute to that Americana experience he had growing up. His lyrics evoke the feeling of a cross country trip with friends. Says Land “I approach music as an art, not just entertainment. So when I write a song I want to be proud of every word and every note. Ernest Hemingway once said that ‘as an artist, you always have to wear your shit detector’ and that’s the philosophy I’ve adopted.” With comparisons to Townes Van Zandt and Neil Young, Braden Land is being embraced among the greater Mississippi area.Currently, Land is writing music for a new record and is talking to a couple of labels about re-releasing “Dirt”, a previous album, and you can buy Braden Land’s music at the iTunes Music Store, CDBaby and at www.myspace.com/bradenlandout of college, money spent, see no future, pay no rent... i write songs and i play and sing for my dinner. lately i've been playing more and eating less. my name it means nothin' my age it means less. i dance for those at minstrel shows and county fairs across the south--just another bojangles for drinks and tips. got some big ideas for albums i'd like to do while i'm dyin' but "Dirt" was one of 'em and i couldn't be much happier about the way it turned out. it's available here or on itunes or at www.cdbaby.com/bradenland, and i think several other online stores that i don't know about. don't be a stranger. well i guess if you want to be you can.
