About Me

35 yrs old, originally from Kirkintilloch but now living in Stenhousemuir in Central Scotland. .Married to Janie with a 3 year old son, called Aidan, and been in the Fire Service now for over 13 years , worked out of Glasgow for the last few years but have now moved station back to Kirky....but still love the job and goin to shouts. .Into all kinds of music..............tho still revert back to rock/metal when given solo time. .Usually act the fool in company........but actually quiet when no-one is around(what can i say......im deeper than i look...... ;-P lol). .Hate carryin grudges......and people who wont let the past lie. ...I hand painted the jacket in my profile over 15 years ago and keep it as a reminder of why growing old is compulsory ...but growing up isn't!!!!!!!.... .Worked security at Homelands festival in 2004....got to chat to, and see live and up "very" close ,Scissor Sisters and Faithless....not that into dance music but was definately an experience, 1200 people crammed into a tent, bouncing away. Was more fun later in the year when i ended up working security at the Reading Festival.........worked the pit in the Concrete Jungle Tent.......and got to hear The Dillinger Escape Plan and Coheed & Cambria amongst others..(full respect to all those who work the pits at gigs.......one helluva job).......also worked the pit on the final day at the main stage when Thrice and LostProphets rocked and Green Day blew the place away.........the highlight tho had to be being stuck in the middle of the mayhem when 50cent got bottled off stage tho.(check out the video clip below to see wot I mean..lol) .what a muppet!. .and the Rasmus lasting one song before the lead guitarist took a plastic bottle of pi$$ to the head................"we are The Rasmus....thank you Reading an goodbye".......lol ... I don't add names onto my page just to make up numbers...I'm not interesting on collecting hundreds of names jus for the hell of it......I have added people....places...and bands that I either know or find interestin.....if your are just looking to add to your total.........carry on looking,I read bulletins and blogs...and like to comment and reply to some but I have deleted almost as many names off my list as there is on it...if not more....due to listing people who like to post....but never reply....or those you never hear from again once added.....!and I sure as hell won't add anyone who hasn't even had the courtesy to even look at my page before askin to be a friend!!!!

My Interests

my son and the wife....(of course)..music......football.......drinking.......golf.....c hillin...would like to get back into art/drawing of some kind if I ever get the time.Even went on an art trip with the school to Florence in Italy many moons ago......If you ever get the chance to visit Florence...go!....the whole place is stunning.surfin the net.....geneology.....I like my solo time.........always have and always will

Music:

Unlike others on myspace, i'm not going to list every band I've ever heard of. Lets jus say that if it is anything with a heartbeat........from G 'n' R , Faith no More and Janes Addiction during my induction into music that wasn't sh*t, thru Metallica and Ministry to Chili Peppers and back again. As long as it's not manufactured and aimed at the bubblegum pop market.......I will listen to it.I've done the combat trousers and boots thing............did the long black coat way before The Matrix was around.....tie-dyed shirts and funky day-glo J-Rat trousers a-la Faith No More ??......done that!!......skin tight jeans?.....regrettably....yes!(my thighs arn't built for them.)..LOL...and leather trousers?....even managed those at a Tigertailz gig!...(and yes..even had the eye liner.lmao)......cowboy boots?.....still keep a pair as a momento!.........Ive been through most things....and to be honest.....would quite happily go through (most of them) again given the chance.

Movies:

The Lost Boys........Dark City..... The Shawshank Redemption.....both Underworld movies......all the Blade films...The Crow..............dark and moody films are always top of my list although American History X is a great film.....Edward Norton's performance of a man trying to break away from his old life is gritty to say the least. Once again I'm not goin to name every film i've ever commented on........but i like action.....I like fantasy....like Hellboy.....i like films that test the brain....al-la.Donnie Darko and Momento....and ones that like to scare the sh*t out of you.........like Halloween, the Alien films and good old fashioned horrors.......and I like performances with heart that reel you in.

Television:

Brainiac ,Farscape , Battlestar Gallactica , hate reality television and soaps, always enjoyed science fiction and fantasy shows so X files and Angel were right up my street. Simpsons, Family Guy and American Dad are great to switch your brain off to.

Books:

If and when I do decide to read, it has to be factual rather than fiction, like Last Man Down (see below why!) I've read criminologist Gerry Britton's Jigsaw Man, harrowing stuff about the likes of Fred and Rosemary West, and the Jamie Bulger killers......and about to start Ralph "Sonny" Barger....book about the leader of the Hell's Angels.You have a sexual IQ of 153
