Rick Stein. I'm a real fan of his!His championing of local produce, product & seafood is fantastic.A man who genuinely promotes these things not so he gains from it; but because of the quality of the product, and the methods used in growing, harvesting, producing or catching it etc.Furthermore this cuts out the middle men ensuring that the people who grow, harvest or catch these products get what they deserve financially too! Thus ensuring that huge amounts of profit are not effectively stolen from the producers by the supermarkets & their monlopies.
Anything really, not too heavy though and not a big classic fan but otherwise pretty much anything goes.
Cookery programmes. Serious ones at that! None of this ready Steady, I can't bring myself to complete the title sorry.Football. Running you own business such as mine, I don't get much chance to watch live football, so when it's on terrestrial TV and I get the chance. I dam well take it!Wildlife & travel programmes too.
Any cookery book, biographies. No a great fiction fan, history, geography and people are what interest me.
Bob Geldof for all the work he has done in trying to remove poverty from Africa as well as highlighting it to the world. If only we would stand up & be counted.Lenny Henry, same reasons as above.Sir Richard Attenborough. For enlightening us as to what a fantastic planet we live on & who we share it with!
