Once upon a time, there was a little girl who roamed the wilderness of Sweden. She searched for beautiful wild horses in the cold and brought them back to the farm she lived on with her ballerina mother. She would tame the horses; masquerading as a woodland chanteuse; enchanting them with her spectral voice; making them believe they were capable of anything. Eventually, they grew to be champions. However, a curse would strike her when she tried to rest at night. Round and round in her head, she would hear music. Tunes so beautiful, they would make her cry. She tried hard to silence them until when tending her beloved ponies, they would whisper to her in the dusk that she was intended for majestic affairs. They whispered a prophecy and she realised that her curse was that majestic affair and so, one day she packed up her belongings, said goodbye the South and she trekked to the bright lights of Stockholm. From here, she travelled to cities far and wide and breathed in their influence. The world in her soul, she returned to Stockholm. Still her head would hurt, just like when she was a little girl, from all the words and melodies swimming by her eyes. But now she knew what to do with it. Her heartbreak, loves and losses gave shape and meaning to the words and melodies.
This little girl grew to be Sparrow. Doctors & Dealers is her music. A lifetime in the making.

"Confessions of a Drunken Mind is a delightfully simple and utterly charming collection of slightly retro pop songs built around winsome keyboard melodies and Sparrow’s adorably lilting vocals"
7/10 Popmatters
"Sparrow's music is, for the most part, simple and direct and she doesn't bury her melodies underneath too many layers of over-arranged junk. Her vocals are subtle and never forced and her songs have that certain something that makes them sound better the more familiar they become. There's a lot to take in here, fourteen intelligent tracks and they present a young lady who is just now diving head first into the world of modern pop."
5/6 Babysue
"Sparrow, the woman who is all of Doctors and Dealers, is one of those creditable performers in a chosen field who doesn't add much to what's happened before it but who maximizes her gifts to the full. In this case, it's winsome, recorded-at-home indie pop, and if she's coloring well within lines that reach as far back as Phil Spector and Maureen Tucker, she does so with an exuberant panache."
3/5 Allmusic
"When one has the opportunity to be exposed to the brand of indie piano-folk being crafted by Swedish singer-songwriter Sparrow, recording under the moniker of Doctors & Dealers, it can be a rather blissful experience. And on her international debut, Confessions of a Drunken Mind, she presents a focused, yet playful collection of songs detailing her and her friends’ struggles with substances both liquid and solid. Calling to mind the stylings of an early Regina Spektor and the abstract aural aesthetic of an early Björk, the record is filled with sweet, seemingly innocent vocals, delicately flowing piano lines, fingersnaps, and other assorted sounds."
Dryvet
"Debut album from Swedish one-woman band Doctors and Dealers manages to be jaunty, spooky, self loathing and occasionally funny within the space of it’s 14 tracks and it’s a very good album for it... So buy this album, love it, remind yourself why getting drunk leads to bad things sometimes then go out and get drunk anyway cause what the hell, it’s fun while it lasts." 4/5 Is this music?
"The album is full of gorgeous & fragile melodies, all sung beautifully by the woman behind the music, Sparrow. It’s a little bit folk, a little bit alt-country and a sprinkle of electronica. Think along the lines of Jenny Lewis or Regina Spektor and you might be in the ballpark. Either way, it’s lovely." Rocksellout"Fourteen musical popsicles are on offer here, all sung in a beautifully quirky and charming little girl voice, accompanied by deliberately and appropriately amateur-ish keyboards with the odd hint of guitar."
Americana-UK
"Confessions of a drunken mind is an album of charming, witty, and perky homemade pop music that has garnered comparisons to Kimya Dawson, Regina Spektor, and Casiotone for the Painfully Alone."
Movement
"Ms. Sparrow is a charming soprano full of confectionary goodness. Her instrumentation is sparse, relying pretty much on Casio-sounding keys and a drum machine, but that doesn't detract from the sound. Instead, it somehow gives an even cuter edge to her quirky lyrics."
