Hello, my name is Evelyn.
I’m in my third year of law at the grand establishment that is the Glasgow Caledonian Uni. I have an awesome bunch of friends there that make me smile ‘cause they, like me, can laugh at what seems to others to be bugger all. You need to be able to do that to get through the more boring elements of the course – I have a module entitled ‘Taxation’ so you work it out.
Okay, so I make money at the weekends by working in the internet support team at Virgin Media. I therefore hate computers and those silly people who shouldn’t have them in the first place. I’ve worked there for a year and a half now and it sucks your soul out of your nostrils.
And now we come onto my most favouritest thing – Griever. I sing and write songs in my band and have been in it for nearly three years. It’s taken us this long to really find our feet: we’ve had quite a few line-up changes in order to find the band members who are really right for us, I think we have the right folks now, and the whole thing is really a learning experience. We're a heavy rock band - "heavy yet dance floor filling grunge rock" as put by Podboy promos. I loves it sooo much. Nothing beats being on stage. It’s maybe the attention, or it’s maybe the fact that I fucking love music. Either way it is sooo damn good and I would hate to be away from it. I wouldn’t know what to do with myself. I really would like to get famous before I have to become a lawyer. Lawyers have to do loads of work and think a great deal and there is minimal singing involved.
I love video games. I collect consoles, old and new. I’m a Final Fantasy freak, got loads of the figures. I love cult horror movies and TV shows. I like reading stuff, from Shakespeare to Steven King. I can play guitar, and drums a bit, and have been focusing this Summer on getting better at both, not for band, but just for the hell of it. I’m writing a novel just now, got a sizeable portion of it done but still got a long way to go. No rush though, I’ll get it done. Em...think that’s all about me I can think of...I exercise to keep fit for stage so I don’t have yucky wobbly bits around....Aye, that’s it.
