About Me

Teddy Larkin is a singer songwriter and Boston native who moved to Nashville in 2000. In the 80's and 90's he was a successful blues/rock drummer touring New England and overseas with famous national blues artists and local artists. In 1996 Teddy was named blues drummer of the year by the Boston Blues Society. He plays piano as well as guitar and was becoming more interested in songwriting so he moved to the music city in 2000 to persue it more. He has released 2 CD's since. You can see Teddy at most of the clubs singing his songs with his band Scary Wagon at Americana Tonight The Douglas Corner, The 5 Spot as well as still doing shows back in New England. Every now and then he may even hop behind the drums for Davis Raines and The Faders,Joe Sun,Tim Carroll, Billy Nightshade & The Derelicts, The Hot Tamale Brass Band and House Amps. Sounds Like: What's been said........................................................ ....................................................Robert K. Oermann, Music Row Magazine: Garage country, with plenty of verve and energy. a rag-tag quality that's quite endearing. I bet they can get 'em up on the pubs's dance floor. Producer Krusen is noted for his work in pop, but proves here he's got a deft touch for raspy country too..Rick Bell, Country Standard Time: What will distinguish Larkin from the dozens of other singer-songwriters kicking around Nashville? As he admits in his song "If Walls Could Talk," Larkin is an "average Joe," yet he is able to relate attitudes and philosophies is well-told, tightly packed three-minute songs. Now that's something special..Chris Blackburn, Your Sound : the vibe that the songs radiate is roots-authenticity....... You would be hard pressed to find a more exciting blend of country, blues, and rock in a Boston live band. These guys put on a great show and there is not a single member that doesn't stand behind every single note he plays.....Freight Train Boogie : .... some good solid songs with arrangements, a few amusing songs thrown in for distraction........ J.Place: The LOCAL Music Entertainment and Pub... Teddy Larkin is a phenomenon to experience-total absorption in the tunes and Tom Waits aura provide an engrossing scene for any spectator.Yankee on The Wagon -- -- -- -- -- -- -- CDBABY LINK for TEDDY LARKIN: Yankee on the Wagon --
