About Me

While the name may illicit visions of old sea captains don't expect to hear songs of sea chanties and " Waltzing Matilda" This acoustic duo, currentley residing in Worcester/Boston, may come accross as eclectic. Rocky and Keri and their music are an exercise in contrasts. A look at their song list reveals original songs, old time appalachia, gospel, bluegrass, blues, rock, and alternative.Keri grew up singing in church gospel choirs. She moved to Chicago to study fine art at Columbia College and started singing in the Chicago blues scene. She returned to sing in short lived bands around Boston.Rocky spent a dozen disciplined years studying classical piano and half a dozen with clarinet before submitting to guitar anarchy. He has played in many bands through out the South, he has toured in off - Broadway musicals and has performed acoustic guitar all over the world. They are two artistic, musical souls that have crossed many different borders and lived many different places. Even though they are three decades apart in age the music they produce is timeless.Rocky and Keri are currently in the studio producing their first album and have played in Gloucester, Boston, Worcester, Conneticut, New Hampshire and Virginia.Recently two more musicians were added to make this duo a four piece when ever it can happen. Rocky and Keri are very happy to have talented Jeff Burch on upright bass. Jeff has played in many different New England bands such as, OSB , Simon and many othersWe are also glad to have Jon Riley jump on board, We love his free spirit and skillful percusion work he has been doing. Jon has toured with Joe Cocker and has played with many greats. He is currently in the funk band Big Dawg that resides in Worcester, MA I edited my profile with Thomas' Myspace Editor V4.4
