ambitious theatrical eclectic rock

About Me

Tautologic is an eclectic progressive rock band. Formed in late 1997, the band has made a name for itself through its sophisticated arrangements and an adventurous spirit.Tautologic has played at Chicago's major venues, including Martyrs, Schuba's, Empty Bottle, Wise Fool's, Subterranean, and the Metro - and other clubs in cities throughout the midwest. The band has also been featured on numerous television and radio programs, and held spots on local festivals including Around the Coyote and the Festival of the Arts at the University of Chicago. In May of 2005, the band presented the debut performance of Psychle, a multimedia guerilla experience (based on the album currently being recorded by Tautologic) at the University of Chicago's Festival of the Arts (FOTA). At the 2002 FOTA, Tautologic presented At The Apartment, an original rock opera written and directed by Sellers. Both of Tautologic's CDs have gathered acclaim in both the U.S. and Europe. Critics have described Tautologic as "an extremely tight professional outfit" (Nigel Camilleri, The Dutch Progressive Rock Page) and "among the city's most original acts" (Darryl Cater, Chicagogigs.com). French magazine Harmonie called the band "Immortal and visionary."
