One of the most influential books I've ever read was: Sexual Personae: Art and Decadence from Nefertiti to Emily Dickinson, by Camille Paglia. It changed my life. Her revolutionary theories shocked my intellect to the core and both confirmed many of my own beliefs and forced me to re-examine my entire world outlook. This one is a must-read!
