About Me

"
I am Matthew Nolan, a New Orleans author excited about meeting people who love literature and believe in the rebirth of one of the greatest, most unique cities in the world--New Orleans, baby!My first book Crumpled Paper Dolls: A New Orleans Poet made it big a month before Hurricane Katrina. After being displaced from New Orleans, I am finally back home, working on my second book, and rebuilding my community. You will find my site a ton of fun! Snoop around to read book excerpts, hear me reading my poetry, see me in a movie trailer for a feature-length film documentary on contemporary American poets, and listen to my BBC radio interview.I love meeting new people, local and abroad. Here is more about my book: Crumpled Paper Dolls: A New Orleans Poet, a collection of poetry, prose, and journals, is intensely personal—highly confessional. It is about being loved and betrayed by women, losing my mind, and battling suicide. I wondered if I could survive poverty, survive relationships, survive madness. It is about my determination to make true my dream of writing a book and my dream of being a New Orleans poet._______________________________________________________ ____To Purchase the Book Online Visit the links below.
