"M.L. Cordle has a lifelong love affair with the glorious mountains of Virginia, and the vivid characters who inhabit those hills. She descends from a long line of plucky Scottish, Irish and English settlers. However, this is just the diving board from which she wrote SILENCING SARAH. Ms. Cordle's debut novel is a thrilling hayride of a story, plucked from her own dreamscape, filled with romance, secrets and insight into the world beyond. I highly recommend this novel, from a Virginia native, who writes passionately and personally about a place she loves, where her own dreams were born."
Adriana Trigiani, New York Times best selling author of Big Stone Gap

An engrossing page-turner, Silencing Sarah is a taut suspense thriller from a seasoned veteran of the genre. In it, M.L. Cordle seamlessly weaves an eclectic cast of characters throughout a tapestry of all-encompassing mystery. Devoid of typically predictable plot twists and faux surprise, Cordle’s narrative truly engages the reader in the unfolding of a suspenseful tale that does not have to work hard to hold the interest. Superbly crafted, Silencing Sarah is an even blend of action and exposition sure to keep the reader's rapt attention until the final page of this fast-paced thriller is turned. Highly recommended.

I adore your writing style and description -- very spot on. And I love the development, characters, and how you seem to effortlessly switch from one character’s thoughts to another -- seamless. Nice work, Marla. Silencing Sarah is a delicious read. I’m thoroughly addicted, and extremely proud of you.

Accurately portraying small town life, M.L. Cordle shows the social death and emotional turmoil that is caused by choosing to support a man accused of murder instead of siding with family and friends. Blending, mixing and sporadically revealing details in small doses builds the suspense that keeps the reader anxious to see the outcome of this conflict. In Silencing Sarah M.L. Cordle mixes the right balance of the paranormal, romance and suspense that will satisfy fans of all three genres of books.

Marla, I'm sitting here at 4 a.m. with my heart racing and tears running down my face. I've just finished Silencing Sarah and it was so AMAZING!You nearly scared the life out of me in Chapter 46 when Maddy returned to Wil's house after the big pond scene. I was sitting here screaming at my computer...NO NO NO NO!!!! You couldnt have been that cruel to do what I was thinking you had done. That just goes to show what an amazing writer you are.You have an incredible gift for not only telling a compelling story, but of pulling your readers in until its not just a story anymore...it becomes a part of their heart. That's what this book did for me. It isnt often I find a book that I have to keep to read again and again. In fact, only 2 other authors have that ability to keep me hooked and coming back for more.I wait impatiently for next book. But until then, I will read this one again and again and again and.................... Pattye in Tennessee

The book sucked me in ,I loved Roby, especially his looks..mmmmmmm sounds good to me lol. Cora she had me too, alot of women feel like that , keeping their wants and desires to them selves until they burst, I hope she over comes that before the poor thing heart explodes with anxiety, and she hasthis unbelievable gift. The book will be great, it pulled me in and I wanted more and more. When the second chapter ended I was like what..........no more, no way, give me more...............lol. I did not want it to end. Can't wait to find out more about their past and why he had to hurt Cora nd oh that Ben sounds like such a sleeze bag, but I am also curious to know his past and why he left Cora. This book will do great. I loved it so far and I can't wait for more. It will do very well with your readers in my opinion.Very good , keeps you interested, story keeps moving and had me wanting to know more.Felt like I was there you were very descriptive which is great for the reader they can actually see a picture in their head.Is this going to be an e book or paperback? My dear young friend, Thank you so much for your visit and for sharing this writing with me. You, dear friend, are a great writer. What is the price for Silencing Sarah? I want to read that book. Do I buy from you or from your publisher? I love your analogies and insight and yes you are older (no, maybe wiser is a better term) than most people your age.

M.L. Cordle - The Woman
Marla is proud to be an Appalachian author. Her lineage is predominantly Scotch-Irish and English with some Swiss German thrown in for good measure. She set aside two years in which to research her heritage and, as a result, has written two books that detail the complete ancestry of her parents. She can tell you that her fifth great grandfather's name was Thomas, and that Nancy, Delilah, Elizabeth, Victoria, Virgie, and Dorothy are the names of the matriarchs in her mother's maternal line.
And she can tell you their stories.
Marla appreciates all the interest in her work! She will continue to strive to bring readers exciting new reads in the future!
THIS SITE IS DEDICATED TO BLISS EDWARD CHAMBERS WHO HAS ALWAYS BEEN AN INSPIRATION AND ALWAYS WILL BE. AND TO HIS MOTHER, VIRGIE, WHO MOURNED HIM. ALSO TO ERNIE PERKINS WHO CONTINUES TO INSPIRE ME FROM BEYOND.

More than anything, he wishes he could banish Madison from his life and spare her his nightmare, but with each passing second he realizes he needs her more.As Sarah pulls out all the stops to gain attention, Madison becomes determined to solve the mystery that Will refuses to talk about – the identity of Sarah’s killer. He knows that he must find a way to silence Sarah forever before the truth destroys everything he’s grown to live for – his beloved Madison.Silencing Sarah is a ghost story that meets a psychological thriller. It is also a love story.

Faced with running her century old boarding house while dealing with the Banks/McConaughey situation, she suddenly finds herself receiving emails from her estranged lover Ben Peck, who is also the father of her twelve-year-old son. With Roby’s sudden intense attraction to her helping to further turn her world inside out, and a ghostly entity roaming the boarding house, she quickly realizes that her life is not only unpredictable these days, but frighteningly unstable.
