About Me

After a first album produced by Mirwais in the mid 90’s (still unreleased!), an EP in 2000 and many remixes (Enrico Experience, Tribute to Polnareff, Tribute to Melville & Delon, etc.), Thomas Deligny aka Concorde Music Club (an exclusive club of which he is the founder, composer and producer), released Stereo-fictions, his highly praised debut album, in September 2002. His love for soundtracks, string arrangements or 70's disco is obvious, but so too is his knack for a good pop tune, notably on titles like « In The Past », sung by Bill Pritchard (whose recent come back album, also co-written and produced by Thomas, has been well received since its release on AZ), or « Movie Star », based on a sample of the cult track « Triangle » by Jacno. Then, an alternative version of this widely acclaimed album exists: the original Stereo-fictions tracks were entrusted to remixers (Chris Joss, Patchworks...) from different backgrounds, who were given a completely free hand in the task of rebuilding them, an operation that we think gives them several new dimensions.
In 2005, Thomas Deligny launched his own label: Stereofiction. In the meantime, Thomas has also been busy manning the decks at the Mezzanine de l'Alcazar, Favela Chic, the Festival of Cinema in Berlin and various, more underground, establishments in Paris, as well as working on his ever-expanding career as producer (albums by Bill Pritchard, Discover), remixer (Pinker Tones, Ariel Wizman, Gamine, Polnareff...) and composer (short films, theatre and advertising).
Boutique Chic: Chez le Coiffeur (At the Hairdresser's) is the first release. From his studio, La Piscine, Georges Deligny, aka Thomas Deligny, aka Concorde Music Club, aka The Scarlet Pimpernel, aka Arsène Lupin, master of disguise, aka That French Bloke Who Looks A Bit Like A Young Bourvil, bombards us with Panique au Salon (Panic at the Salon), an explosive mixture of big beat and electro-mambo with special "scissors" percussion , and heady vocals which sum up the spirit of the venture:
« C'est chic, non ? »
« C'est très bien ! »
