I love to DANCE!!! My husband and I are doing some Salsa lessons. It's pretty fun. I LOVE coffee, and look forward to a good breve' any chance I get!!! Singing, songwriting, networking with other songwriter's etc...playing the piano, those are my passions! I love just getting together with friends and just relaxing, chatting about life and what's going on etc...just being with people.
I absolutely LOVE Amy Grant. I have listened to Amy since I was 10 years old. I have met her once, and she was very warm and gracious. Someday I would love to sing a duet with Amy on one of my albums...now I'm dreaming big huh...LOL! Dreams come true. I guess you have to start somewhere! I like a large variety of music. My mom used to listen to the radio all the time. I was raised on ALL styles of music, from Beachboys to Beatles, to Carpenters, the Rolling Stones, Aerosmith, and lots of greats like Kenny Rogers, Lionel Ritchie, Dolly Parton, and on and on. I really love music, and want to use music to reach the world in all kinds of ways. Music unites people in such an awesome way. You don't have to speak the same language to appreciate the same music!!!
Alright here it goes. Here are some of my favorites. Grease was the first movie I ever saw in the theater. I was 6 years old, and I was totally blown away!!! Liar Liar, I love Jim Carrey! Bruce Almighty, You've Got Mail, Sleepless in Seattle, My Best Friend's Wedding, Serendipity, How to Lose a Guy in Ten Days, Office Space, Sound of Music, Mary Poppin's, Chicken Run, just to name a few. Ok, so you get it, I LOVE movies. I've seen too many to mention!
My favorite shows are, Everybody Loves Raymond, Ellen, Oprah, Martha Stewart, Tony Danza, American Idol, Reba, and Eight Simple Rules. I watch the news, and catch David Letterman most nights, and if I can stay awake, I LOVE Conan O' Brian!
My husband is an author. He has 3 novels published, with the 4th coming out in July. It's tough for me to slow down and concentrate on reading. As long as the book grabs my attention pretty early on, I will stick with it to the end. I don't have as much patience for reading, but I do enjoy a book now and then...especially one by Eric Wilson!
My mother had a pretty tough life as a kid. She was only 19 when I was born. I think of my mother as a hero in a way. She had to work very hard to survive, and she did what she could to take care of me. I was in a foster home for a short time as a kid. My mother needed some help, so we decided it was best for me to stay with a family. My foster family are heroes for taking me in, and showing me so much love. They helped me in so many ways. I can't thank them enough. I was adopted at 11 years old, by another great family. I guess you can say I have quite a few heroes in my world. It was hard growing up, but it made me appreciate the little things. Now, I get to raise my own daughters with a wonderful husband.
