About Me

a minority of one is currently a random sonic outlet for the things i can’t seem to express with words, or thru my craft. together with markus wolff, jason oneill-butler, and arrowyn craban i am refining our live set utilizing mostly acoustic instruments like cello, violin, drums, horns, guitar, bass and bells, as well as several new noisy inventions. the music is a bit different from past offerings but comes from the same place and i’m very excited to share it with you. we’ve played several shows this past year, a sample of which you can hear on this page.
Aisthesis, (greek: "to breath in"), is the space between our practiced senses of touch, taste, seeing, hearing, and smelling. It is feeling, it is a common sense that unifies the others. The organ with which we experience and percieve aisthesis is the heart. Heart based perception is for me an essential practice, without which i would be lost, in this age of constant sensory distraction and reductionist linear explanations of the world around us. Ancient peoples utilized this awareness on a daily basis, comunicating directly with the plants around them to understand their many uses, with animals to ask for assistance in feeding and clothing thier families and with the spirits of the land and sky for guidance along the way. Aisthesis is our direct communication with the spirit that moves in all things.

Wilde Jaeger review from plaguehaus.com

As comps come and go, they almost always miss the mark for me, one or two good tracks sandwiched between several sub-par or god awful ones. More often than not, they're just commercials for the label ...
