The Hollywood Stylist for Cowgirls and Courtesans!

About Me

I'm an Artist/Designer/Stylist for 'the Big Screen' and sometimes the 'Little Screen' as well-- my specialty being 19th and early 20th century clothing, both behind and in front of the camera. My life has always been about the pursuit of creativity and how it manifests itself in my world.Whether it involves paint, ink or textiles--I eat, sleep and breathe it! I studied illustration at university, therefore--I'm a wardrobe stylist? *sheesh* Who knew?Being the chick with "way too much Scorpio in her"--when my name is mentioned, eyebrows will either go up or there will be an audible sigh. Don't worry--that Scorpion sting is 99% of the time under control! It's what I use to keep lesser beings cast aside and to protect my friends I love.My oh-so-wise Mother always told me that the truly beautiful and talented are always the object of gossip--so it's in my best interest to give them their money's worth...and I do.What do I do for fun? As a child, I read books. Now, I work. I work so I can relax and read more books. Now that I'm an adult, I drive for eight hours to my Tombstone house so I can relax and read books in my 19th century living room! There's nothing like a rainy evening at 'the little house' with a glass of wine and a volume of Tolstoy and Molly next to me on the sofa... Nirvana. My life's goal is to be able to relax and read all the time and in a perfect world--maybe even write a book as well.I don't have children--and I never wanted any. My family lives in Utah (yes where one and one makes ten) and I have sisters that got me off the hook by giving my parents many, many grandchildren and I'm the last of my family who still lives in California--which is why I have a dog!Molly, my Jack Russell is my best companion and is always ready to go with me either to work or on an outing. She has become my constant companion and has proved to be a loyal friend and fashion accessory. The older I get, I find that life is short and I have no time for morons, the unstable or funny business. So I spend all the rest of my time (literally, when I'm not working) on the trail in the local mountains or in the dressage ring, it's the 'saddle time' that keeps me sane, having to work in the insane world of the film industry. In a world whacked out on prozac and power trips--I have a horse to remind me to 'keep it real' and connect me with the great outdoors.Life as a titian haired green eyed porcelain skinned beauty (with torn gloves and muddy boots) does has it's advantages--with a sharp witted Scorpio attitude to match, I wouldn't hesitate to say that Molly and I are a rather memorable pair.Did I dress you? Get in line, darlin'--I'm making the world a more beautiful place by doing so!myspace layouts for Get this layout for your myspace page.

My Interests

I'd like to meet:

Others who enjoy a love for the American Old West and the 19th century and all it's manners and morals. Of course that doesn't mean that a little Piracy thrown in wouldn't hurt! To me, it's just another 'suit of clothes'.Lovers of Jack Russell Terriers are next on my list--I've found that we are a separate breed of people unto ourselves!Fellow Equestrians, those who 'truly' ride. Those who aren't afraid of a bit of dirt of their face, perpetually muddy boots and a good attitude.Riders who won't make fun of the fact that I prefer to ride in the English style--because I can certainly keep up with all of 'them thar cowboys', aside OR astride!Lovers of books--and I mean the classics, (American and European) poetry, ancient peoples and religions, true literature--'heavy' stuff. Tolstoy and Balzac are fun!Lovers of Jazz and Blues! Not that weird 'fusion' stuff--I mean that sexy, 'greasy' sound that the early jazz artists made. Being raised to be a sweet religious girl who played the organ in my Father's church, I quickly found that I preferred ragtime and blues to all those old boring hymns, Which didn't make me popular with the 'old lady crowd'...Lovers of Old Ghost Towns--I simply love hiking and exploring with Molly amongst ruins of old abandoned boom towns and cemeteries. There's nothing like walking through an old pioneer cemetery during an Arizona monsoon! It's both beautiful and reverent. Those who 'Take Tea'. I don't just mean the drink itself, I mean the 'act' of taking tea. The ritual of conversation, the art of pouring and sharing--to be finished off with a sherry, a port or a wee dram. It's a lifestyle that could change world history as we know it and I strongly suggest it for everyone! Those who love Antiques and Curiousities. My parents collect antiques and antique autos, and well--I collect antiques and now have an antique vacation house! My spare time with spent taking Molly to antique fairs and flea markets, looking or trading for the just-so-perfect-thing. The perfect Sunday morning is taking in a flea market after morning coffee and the LA Times, then perfecting it by spending the rest of the day at the paddock or on the trail.
