The mind of an Engineer and the Hart of an Artist

About Me

"Ceud Mile Failte" (one hunderd thousand Welcomes!)
I am a quite man, I have the mind of an Engineer an the Hart of and Artist. I enjoy my Celtic heritage ( Scottish and Irish) and Country roots.
I grew up on a farm in a Catholic family, South East of Bakersfield where we grew Peaches I was also in 4-H and raised Goats, Sheep, Cows, Rabbits, Pigs, Ducks and Chickens. I am the oldest of three boys, no sisters.
I am a Photographer and have been taking pictures since I was 10 years old and Professionally since I was 17. I manage a full service camera store. I have also studied Architecture and Environmental and Interior Design, worked in an Art store, for a Graphic artist and designed house. About 40 of them built. Architecture is art but on a bigger canvas and has to be practicable too.
Always very busy. I like History, Photography, Travel, Hiking, Bicycling, Sailing and Canoeing, collecting and restoring antiques and art. I have a lot of interest. I enjoy fine food and good movies, music and theater.
As a poster I have says “ My taste are simple, I like the best”
I am honest, trustworthy and reliable. Lots of imagination and creativity.
My parents are my best friends. Friend describes me as an intellectual, Honest, Reliable, hard working and trustworthy person. A bit reserve but able to do stuff with a flair. I have been called a dapper dresser. I always try to do everything right in a classy and stylish way. I like to watch movies and read books but also enjoy bicycle ride and walking, canoeing and sailing. I enjoy exploring new places, I enjoy studying history I like to listen mainly to Classical and Celtic music but I have collected over the years a rather large and divers collection.
I believe most people are looking for their sole mate, but they do not know where to look. The best place to look is among their friends. So make Good friend and eventually you shall find them.
Some features I would fine interesting are Catholic, Celtic, Conservative, Caring, Classy and Intelligent, Someone to be my best friend
I also have a blog over at Live Journal at
http://calhighlander.livejournal.com/UPDATE: I am no longer managing the Camera store but maintain my interest in Photography. I have entered a new career in the exciting and growing solar energy business. I have been following the developments in this industry since I was in High school. It is a very good company, which I have known for over 25 years and have used there, services over the years in homes I have designed. This has been a good and interesting move for me.
