Clayton Willoughby was born backstage at the Rialto Theatre on a snowy March evening in 1911 to a touring vaudeville couple. At an early age he reveled at the magical feeling of life behind the scenes and perhaps feeling a little special at being in the center of this amazing world. He had a vivid imagination which when combined with growing up backstage, gave him a sense of realizing that things aren't always as they seem. Vaudeville did fade away but somehow Clayton escaped the hook as he made his way and continues to spread his Tin Pan Alley and 20's music in somewhat obscure, out-of-the-way theatres and old vaudeville houses, **** Jimmy Olson **** Daily Planet
