VButterflyNathan Heinze is an artist and producer specializing in dance, house and pop.House music is my current obsession, but hi-NRG and trance have also played a big part in my life. Other things - well, I'm an artist and freelance graphic designer, I love producing art. I love sports. Not saying much there though, I'm a guy, right . . . Personal: Born in San Juan, Puerto Rico, at the age of 13 I moved to South Florida and lived the typical American teenage girl’s life, shopping, going out, dancing, etc. During the 90’s, I frequented New York City institutions of music/dance such as Sound Factory, The Tunnel, and Limelight along with the legendary South Beach venues of Salvation, Pump, The Warsaw, The Mix, and Liquid. During this time, I was able to listen to musical legends such as Junior Vasquez, Peter Rauhofer, Danny Tennaglia, Hex Hector, Jason Ojeda, Dimitri, and Mobi. After being inspired by these masters of music, my passion for music began to escalate, and then I saw great female DJ’s such as Tracy Young, DJ Heather, Alyson Calagna and Susan Morabito. After seeing them, I made my decision to become a DJ, saved money, purchased my first decks and the rest is history! For the past two years, as a Butterfly emerges from a cocoon, I have been making the transformation from Vanessa Picart to VButterfly, DJ/Performer at large! I have learned to be ready for both the good and the bad, and that the music industry is a tough business and definitely not for the faint of heart. But I believe that my dedication and determination will be the key to my success. I take my craft very seriously as does my audience, which knows I deliver the goods all the time. My fans know I push harder and further each and every time and I win them over with my technical prowess, my track selection, my good vibes and my energy. While being a female DJ is not easy and not the most profitable, it’s all about the music for me. Introduced to the dark but enchanting club world of New York City at the age of 17, Mike fell in love with the art of DJing in the club scene. He has always expressed that its much different from any of the work he did prior to this point, Its where you can let go and allow your creative juices to flow and let the crowd feel what your heart feels. Since that moment, the clubs became his home. When the time came for him to show his skills he was offered a spot in very important party at The Roxy. The result was always material that left people amazed at his talent and the strength of his products. He began work on Hold Me Closer under Animus Records (Italy) with full understanding of what is needed to make people dance and truly enjoy a song from beginning to end due to his experience on both sides of the music world. The outcome? One of the most amazing tribal house tracks in history, and this is only the beginning. He has also brought to us the incredible Respect Me featuring Mr. Dee under Loop 128 Records (Portugal), and released another sensational contribution to the club world: Addicted To My Music- ft. Miss F. In addition, he collaborated with DJ Demarko Centaur Music / Global Groove Records and spun out an incredible remix of Beyonces Naughty Girl that left the crowd screaming for more at the Soaken Wet Part 4 release party in New York Citys Chelsea Piers. Mike Da Wizard also collaborated with Liza Records on Thea Austins Broken Wings , which climbed all the way up to a 12 on the Billboard Dance charts and also contributed his unbelievable drums to Joi Caldwells Freedom which climbed all the way up to 1. There is no doubt in anyones mind that Mike Da Wizard is going places and moving fast. He is living proof that hard work and dedication can only lead to flawless results.
