Vanessa Valentin, born and raised in Bronx, NY and of Puerto Rican descent, began her career as a professional recording artist less than 5 years ago. She began as the lead vocalist in a Latin Pop/Dance Trio called: Ellas. The group released their first CD in the year 2000 and were signed & distributed by Max Music & Entertainment, Inc., and Universal Music & Video Distribution. The group appeared on various national television shows, featured in major newspapers & magazines articles, performed in festivals such as: the famous Calle Ocho festival in Miami, and the Medalla festival. They also performed a mini tour from Orlando, FL to San Francisco, CA, ending in San Juan, PR. This Latin trio shared the stage with numerous well known artists such as: Gilberto Santa Rosa, Willy Chirino, Elvis Crespo, Son by Four, Proyecto Uno, and more. Shortly after the release of their first album, Vanessa decided to pursue a career as a solo artist. In April of 2001, she released her first English dance single called, Inside of Me with Craig Mauro & Diesel Groove Records. Her new hit single is entitled, If I Could See You Now with E.L.I. Records and will be available in the US very soon. Vanessa's versatile background in various styles of music has allowed her the freedom to record in a variety of genres including Latin pop, dance & freestyle. Her next goal is to put out a song that combines it all! So far, Vanessa's determination and conviction has proven to be a success. Vanessa currently resides in Ft. Lauderdale, FL. She is a graduate of the University of Miami where she received a Bachelors degree in Music Therapy. Vanessa is also a graduate of "FAME" Fiorello H. LaGuardia H.S. of Performing Arts in NY, NY. Her 17 years of extensive training includes: Classical Music, Musical Theatre, Gospel, Jazz, Pop, & R&B.****************************************************
